College student budget here.
Wanting a pistol safe for my house that I'm renting with friends. Just gonna sit under my room. I plan on bringing one of my rifles as well (Campus has a range, as well as a local range in town) so something with enough room to hold a full sized pistol as well a rifle bolt (Might as well keep the rifle safe in a way) And a box or two of ammo.

What are some good brands for electronic safes?

Can't answer your question, but I wanna bump with another question. What college campus has a range? Where at???

A couple questions:
1) Are you worried about fires or burglaries?
2) Do you have space constraints?
3) What rifles do you have? (Some store easier than others.)

Bump. I'm looking for one that mounts in the wall. I want to put it in the basement stairwell landing. Any recommendations?

I was sleeping dude. Settle down.

1. No not worried about fires, but just in case if somebody breaks into the house or an ominous housemate's friend goes snooping and says "Hey, anon has a gun! Cool!". Chances of that happening are little, but I'd rather be on the safe side.

2. No real space constraints, except I'd prefer to keep it out of sight, and I can't mount it to anything as per lease's rules upon signing.

3. All bolt actions (Milsurpfag here) so I just figured on throwing my mauser/enfield/mosin bolt(s) in the safe. No bolt, no boom.

If it is small and lightweight but quite sizeable, place two or three bricks inside it. It will not completely prevent people from taking it, but it will make it more awkward and difficult.

Not OP. Different Anon. Have good safe for fire/burglar protection. Just want a convenient place to keep CC weapons (mine and wife's) away from kids and company.

Really coming down to what lock works best? Battery life, battery warning etc.
>>
Check out fort knox pistol boxes if you have a few hundred lying around, theyre high quality and heavy gauge. Have simplex locking systems that are simple to use and mechanical so they dont die or wear out.

I've always thought that this is the best idea for storing long guns. But does it count in states where u are required to have all your guns locked up?

Don't get electronic get a mechanical. My parents have had a push button mechanical lock on their front door for 20 years. It has never failed. Still works.
