Are Taurus just middle of the road type of guns? Never fired one, though some their revolvers look pretty spiffy.
>>
>>29748202

Taurus are below middle of the road, they are some of the worst you can buy.

>those casings

Gore is not allowed on blue boards, OP

is not bad, comrade. has strong firing pin

rimfire .38?

The bit between each round is too narrow, one round goes off and that wheel will explode like a firecracker.
>>
My first instinct is to say they're not as bad as people say but I've heard some horror stories. My Taurus revolver (blued model 66, 4" barrel) is solid but I got it on the cheap. Ordered a part from Taurus CS once and that was a fucking nightmare.

Taurus is like a lot of budget-oriented gun-makers (like Century, for instance): you're rolling the dice, and your chances of getting a lemon depend on the model but they're still higher than with a lot of other brands.

Being older and wiser I'd probably just save up a bit more and get a GP100.

Your pic is related to my Taurus.
Model 94, 9 chamber .22lr
Really fun gun, but alas...
Maybe 1 out of 5 full cylinders (45 shots) one of the bullets will not go off. It will have an indentation like your pic.

Quite bothersome, does anyone have any idea why it happens? Just shitty Brazil shit?

Nogunz the post.

The millennium G2 is an excellent gun if you don't mind plastic sights and cheap bluing.

So only buy used from a gun store you know wont sell you a lemon?

Any other Taurus guns that are okay?
>>
>>29748202
That is what happens when you don't put your cylinder stop in, then pull the trigger like a maniac.
>>29748413
Your revolver is out of timing, take it to a gunsmith.

PT99/PT92 are pretty much Beretta's with better controls. My only complaint is that they don't take beretta mags, but I like my PT99 as much as my M9, but my M9 is prettier. I shoot my PT99 more though, and it runs like a top. I shot it so much the finish on the barrel was completely worn off, I sent it to Taurus they sent me a new barrel two weeks later.
>>
>>29748442

...are you talking about Taurus or Glawk?
>>
>>29748599
PT92's are literally Berettas with a frame safety. They're even built on the same machinery.

Nah, man. Even worse, Taurus are the crazy abos who lay down on the asphalt to take a nap after spending all day huffing petrol, then get run over by a truck.
>>
>>29748605
Taurus has a mil pro gen 2 that was consulted on by Glock engineers so the rumor goes. I own one in .45 and it's a solid CCW.

Taurus manufactures surprisingly nice firearms, considering they build them by lashing vines and coconuts together.
>>
>>29748202
Guy I work with had one of their lightweight frame .357 blow apart in his hands. Then when he sent it back, the ATF confiscated it because he apparently had a gun with a serial number on it that was not listed as sold even though he bought it at a store.
He showed them the receipt and the registration paperwork (NY)

Taurus. Not even once

The Metro holds many secrets, Artyom. Not all of them pleasant...
>>
>>29748202
Honestly, their revolvers are fine. Their pistols are not, but if you stick with their wheelguns you'll be fine.
>>
>>29748868
Highpoints actually work tho. Your thinking of their client base
>>
>>29748541
If someone sold it to a gun store (and got reamed on the selling price) It probably IS a lemon.
>>
>>29749505
true... I see lots of High-Point clients in my local city.
>>
>>29748202
Taurus are just cheap guns that you buy to shoot at weekends in the range.

Never use it for home defense. It could cost your life.
