Well, the day finally came. I completed my Samurai Edge project. In honor of this glorious day, post your custom guns (or custom guns in general).
I'll post what few pictures I have of this one. Hopefully conditions are a bit better tomorrow and I can get some better shots.

Where did you get the slide work done?
>>29748091
Customized Creationz.

It looks really nice. I should stop procrastinating mine. I stopped at the samurai edge grips.
this is the best thing I've seen on this board in weeks
Idk if I'd call it custom. All I did was paint it.

Thanks.
It has been an ordeal, let me tell you. It took about a year and a half to see this thing to fruition. Barsto only does so many barrel batches a year and DSGrips took about a year this time (not bashing him, the grips are great). Surprisingly, the slide came back the quickest. Only took about a month.

It looks nice. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I really like white on guns.
>>29748261
How much does this amount of custom work cost?
>>29748048
So DSGrips finally got around to sending you your gripes eh?
>>29748319
Too much. Around $1400-$1500 for the completed project cost. That includes the steel trigger, wolff TCU, and wolff springs that I installed, too. Barrel was $250, Grips $120, and slide $400.
>>29748402
Yeah. I didn't even get an email with tracking or anything either. I just unexpectedly found them in the mail yesterday. And then I got an email, haha.
>>29748588
where did you get the slide?
>>29749514
Do you mean the Brigadier slide, or the engravings?
>>29749748
Engravings....but now I wanna know fkr both.
>>29749852
The Brig slide came with the pistol (92 Brig) and the engravings were done at Customized Creationz.
Looks good m8

Unfortunately bro, your project is not technically complete. Your frame is not true to the original S.T.A.R.S. guns. They all had straight dust cover frames a la the original 92F/FS design. Your project was doomed from the start as you used a current production Brigadier with the slanted frame.
I guess you could hunt down a straight dust cover gun or frame since they're not that hard to find, or just live with the fact that the gun is perfect in every conceivable facet except that one. But then again, the point of making a clone gun is to make it an exact clone, right? That's why you got the right barrel, grips and even the damn markings, right?
Just saying this respectfully as one autistic collector to another.

Yup, you're absolutely right. Good eye, too. I knew from the beginning that buying a Brig to base the SE project off would mean having the curved dust cover. I'm keeping my eye out for the original straight ones, just in case, but for no w I am happy with what I have. Thankfully the SE doesn't call for any huge alterations to the frame like it does the slide, so I can swap it out in the future really easily, if need be.

Hey, how do you like these 1911 grips that add the rail? Does it seem sturdy? How's it feel. I have an older 1911 that I was thinking of getting this for....
>>29753609
Mad respect for being on top of your build, guy. I know a lot of people who would flip shit after finding out their pet project wasn't done properly and reeee at any criticism, but you walked in knowing what would have to be done and you're not afraid to admit it and wait to see it through.
In the meantime you have the closest real firing replica to the SE that I think anyone has ever seen. I would be overjoyed to shoot it at the range and willing to let you take a crack at my straight cover 92FS from 1991 for the privilege, pic related. Happy shooting breh.
Nighttime /k/ truly is best /k/
>>29753533
It is SE Anon Custom. Barry and Wesker's didn't have straight dust covers either.
>>29748010
Took yours the one step further than I did with mine. I dont even know if they have brigadier slides in INOX.
>>29748010
OP, Are you the guy in AZ who has a S.T.A.R.S. crown vic?
>>29753783
They do, on the inox brigs.
>>29753671
Thanks man, and that's a nice looking 92. Hopefully I can find just a straight frame for sale sometime.
>>29753783
Yours still looks nice though. That extra step raped my wallet.
>>29753801
Nope. Sounds pretty fucking cool though. Any pics?
>>29753825
I just realized how stupid my post was, since I have a black slide. Oh well, guess I gotta shell out for a whole new gun, since the slides by themselves are naught but rainbows.
>>29753839
Thanks gunbrother.
Is a polished barrel on a Beretta 92/M9 retarded or does it look sweet? What say you, /k/?
Well im looking to shorten my enfield no.1 mk4 down to 18 or so inches and modify the wood stock accordingly to be at least bearable to look and hold
>>29753632
They're pretty good. Good and sturdy.
>>29754501
I saw one of those at the last gun show o went to.
Neat idea but i would only do it to one that is a project and isn't in the best shape.
>>29748010
This looks so good, a store close to me has a R.C.P.D patch and I want it but I never played the games.
>>29748010
>>29748048
>>29748104
So you finally got the grips huh? Took fucking forever for you to get that done mang.
>>29756640
Yup.
I get a free future pair of whatever grips I want for the long wait, though.
I'll bump with some more pics for now. I just realized I didn't have any with the other side of the slide.
>>29748010
is it 9.5mm like the real thing?
>>29758326
They were all in 9mm, except for Barry's who had .40 S&W.
Double feature.
