Good afternoon, /k/. I'm currently looking for a decently priced, fixed-magnification optic for an AR15. However I don't have nearly enough money to dump on an 1100-1800 dollar pic related. What optics do you fellow /k/ommandos use on your ARs, and what can you tell me about them?

Not OP but what's the opinion on this?

Burris Ar-332

Great budget optic, would rather not use in true SHTF though, the coating on the optics reflects a nice "shoot here" target.

Ah, good to know, thanks!

Aimpoint Micro/Pro bro

Also not OP but just how shit are the $30-60 reflex and not-acog that are for sale on ebay?
>>
>>29748316
Shit-tier shit.
I bought one for the lulz, and the recoil from a 5.56 just knocked one of the lenses out of its socket.
>>
I've got an old primary arms 4x that has lasted me a long time and 2k+ rounds.
>>
>>29748312

why would you recommend a red dot when OP wants magnification?

>>29746562

you can get variable power optics from vortex for anywhere from $150-$500 and up, they're legit, lifetime warranty, etc

You can find ACOG's around $1000
>>
>>29746813
Do they not accept a kill flash or Sun shade?
>>
>>29748686
I googled. They only offer the kill flash ARD for their spitfire red dot.
>>
>>29746579

i use it i like it
>>
>>29746562
Why are ACOGs so ridiculously expensive? Is it not possible to get one more reasonably?
>>
>>29746562
go to walmart and ask the clerk what the best sight they have is.
>>
Prismatic Scopes are a good option, check out Primary Arms.

I actually like their ACSS recticle.

If looks don't matter, POSP / PSO Scope, Not an ACOG but built like a truck.
>>
OP here, thanks for the responses.
>>29746584
I've heard nothing but good things about these Burris's, honestly what I'm leaning towards.

>>29748503
I currently have and love my Vortex spitfire 1x, only issue it's giving me is mount related, should be an easy fix with some locktite. I also really like the 3x's reticule.

>>29748796
Will do on Primary Arms, heard food things about them, but can't find much on their reticule setups for some reason.

As for a PSO/POSP, I definitely would look into those, always been a fan of the "dragunov" style reticule.

Thanks for the help, /k/ommandos.

Alot of people recommend primary Arms ITT op, and so do I. I have a 5x one and I love plinking away at 300 with it. I think they even have a 3x now also.

pantyhose
>>
>>29749328
True that, and I've done it on it on my SPARC before believe it or not.
That being said, it's not my first choice for an optic SHTF.

>>29746579
By the way, I really like the MD-ADS by Primary Arms. It has 50k hours of battery life. The only downside is the blurriness at higher settings and the same film issue as the aforementioned optic.
>>
>>29746584
Do you own one?
>>
>>29748503

he said fixed magnification, which is gaytarded. get a red dot or a 1-6x.
>>
>>29748774
They're built to take some serious abuse and the glass is decently clear. Also the tritium illumination probably drives up the price.
Most of the people here just do range work, though so a Primary Arms Prism sight will work just fine for less than half the price of an ACOG. They seem to be reasonably tough as well for what they are
