No, the kitchen has three entry and exit points.
one with a small hallway and closet near living room, one that leads to the back yard, and one that connects to the dining room. so she watches the back door and keeps an eye on the last entrance to the kitchen in case i flush anyone into there.
when i yell enter, she is standing behind the wall, that our steel fridge sits on (old steel not the new aluminum shit) and she focuses primarily on front door since i have the back.
the reason i dont want her to clear room is because the kitchen has a nook on one side of it and the other side is deep, so its hard to check both quickly and its easier to just have me scan it from across the kitchen.

Works about about a wash. Lasik for me would be $1500 per eye. That's $3000 total. If I pay $300 per pair of glasses that's 1p more pair in my life to be even, and with how often I get new glasses that's about right.
That being said, I still plan to get Lasik in the next couple years just because it would be so convenient to not have to wear glasses anymore. Especially for shit like swimming.

I used to have the daily lenses you would throw away when you were done. Those were much thicker and your eyes were really sore if you dozed of in them. These ones I got for extended wear are much thinner and you feel fine even after 8 - 10 hours sleep.

Actually they do. They are gas permeable and are pretty great. They are expensive S fuck like $300 each.
You can also get them ordered so they squeeze your cornea enough while you sleep that your vision is correct for 10-14 hours the next day. It still works into the night but you see halos around all light sources for neat reasons.
The latter is called ortho-k lenses. They aren't a solution to ops problem though. They areven worse because they take like three minutes to take off and clean your eyes

Near/farsighted ness is usually due to a deformed eye. The lens works fine. That gets corrected in the cornea by the laser.
When you get older you get farsighted when your lens stops working right, which is a typical result of aging. You can't really correc this with Lasik unless you get one eye setup for near, and one for far.
I got prk instead of Lasik which has much worse results for dry eyes. My worst thing about late night reaction is my eyes are crusted over with gunk to keep me from having a corneal erosion/dry eyes the next day.
