Just got my first handgun last week, a 9mm M88A, for $250.00. It's a nice compact. What are some of the service pistols /k/ wants/has?

I can't hit shit with mine dawg. Trigger is like 10lbs

I'd buy a first gen glock in .40 s&w. The earlier glocks are known for their reliability. Now since we're talking about the protection of your family you need to be sure you have the most stopping power. You can buy hot loaded ammo in .40 that works perfect with the gen 1 glocks. The hot loads will give you more stopping power. Make sure you practice a lot with the hot ammo so you can get a good feel for it.

I was hitting a phone book at about 50 feet somewhat reliably. Only missed about twice once I got a feel for it, but yeah, trigger pull pretty heavy.

That sounds like an easy fix with some sandpaper. I've been wanting an M88A for some time.

Service pistols?
Cool.
It's occurred to me; what might the surplus Jericho's that were on AIM a while back have been used for?
The ones I've seen posted were all quite worn, and mine also shows signs of use (mostly holster wear though)
Still. What might they have been used for?

Fuck you. Tokerev triggers are even better than a 1911s.

>What are some of the service pistols /k/ wants/has?
I have this sexy 92FS. Fucking great firsthandgun, I think.
>Hurr that DA/SA

You need to oil your pistol fuccboi
My favorite service pistol is my Glock 17

>You need to oil your pistol fuccboi
Yeah I know. All of my guns are in need of servicing.

I'm about to buy a Serbian M57 for 180. Comes with two mags and box. "lightly" used or so the gunstore clerk claimed. is this worth the price?
>>29739986
sell those clown noses to some mall ninjas and order some HST
>>29739957
Ayy. I need a new 9x19 barrel because mine is damn near smooth, but no one has them.

My Grandfather's Army issue Remington Rand M1911A1 manufactured in 1943 which he carried in WWII and Korea.
Also pictured my Great Grandfather's M1909 Army revolver that he used in WWI and his Colt 1903 Pocket Hamerless that he carried in WWII (he was promoted to general in WWII).
I've also got a Colt Commando .38 revolver that was issued to my grandfather at some point (not sure when), its notable for being the last revolver ever issued by the US Army.
The family used to have a war trophy Luger that my Great Grandfather brought back in WWII (markings intact, with the holster and two magazines); but sadly some asshole at the VFW buttered up my grandfather ("Thanks for your service sir!") and bought it off him for next to nothing before I'd expressed an interest in it.
As for what I want.....shit, what don't I want?
I'd like to get a Luger again and a P38 for that matter and while we're on the topic of old timey German guns a C96 is a must. I'd also like a Beretta M9 to fill out my US Army collection and a Tokarev and a Makarov for some Cold War flare. As for what I can afford, that's another matter.

Check numrich gun parts.
They have quite a few parts for Jerichos.
I've also heard that Tanfoglio barrels will fit, but can't confirm.
>>29740100
If its in good shape, yeah. As with all guns you should check the barrel's rifling with a light.
>>29740354
Cool, thanks man.
Actually all but one of the pistols I want were or are service pistols.
>S&W Model 13
>Makarov
>Browning Hi-Power

It's cool. Jerichos are fucking awesome, and damn near anybody who's got one is okay in my book.
Also, my TTC for those who give a shit as to wether or not my opinion on Tok triggers is worth a damn or not.
The poor thing's got near no rifling anymore. I need to buy a new barrel for it, but I'm a bit of a poorfag.

Those are nugget prices for a semi auto handgun
You can't even get a nagant revolver fot that these days
I say go for it
Also, anywhere online I can find more mags for this thing? Guy only had the one with it.

Yeah it looked good and everything seemed to work and fit well enough. All right imma get me a new shooter!
>>29740445
Damn near anywhere that seeks them.
I know that classic firearms sells them, century international arms sells them, and j think AIM had some for a while.
Just look a bit. They all use the same mags (Tokerevs, Serbian M57s, etc.) so they're not very hard to find or terribly expensive.

Did some late night research, will double up again tomorrow just to be sure. Old model Jerichos (IMI) used damn near every part from Tanfoglio. When they switched to IWI the barrels were made in house. Now, Numrich doesn't have any barrels, neither does any of the other popular places for gun parts. Tanfoglio does, in 4 1/2" and 4 3/4" options. Question is, do I stay space cowboy with a flush barrel or do I thread it for a silencer/muzzle device? Hell, does cutting a barrel even work for 9mm? All I've ever cut on were shotguns and rifles.

http://m.ebay.com/itm/tokarev-barrel-tu-90-tt-33-9mm-chinese-russian-type-54-
Only one I found on a quick search.
Apex, Numrich and RobertRTG are all sold out :(
I need another set of grip panels for my 213, you'd think a couple pieces of Soviet mass produced plastic wouldn't be $25-30 a set....
Might just fabricobble a set of 1911 grips on it.

M88a, m70 and Yugo m57 use a different mag than all other 9mm tokarevs (norinco 213, tokagypt, etc)
JGsales has them from time to time, I've paid between $20-25 each for mine pic related.

Everywhere I've looked, minus GunBroker, http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Keywords=m88a+magazine (Fuck that shit.), Is out of stock/discontinued. That's why I'm asking.
