Anyone remember those ads for Finnish 20mm AT rifles for like nothing from the 50's?
How about Full retard stens for 18 dollars?

$3-3.50 was $80-90 in today's dollars
$18.50 was $505

thanks for posting OP, i really like old gun ads
>average worker pay in 1900 was 450 a year or 37 a month
>actually being able to afford any of this stuff
>>29737563
It was not that different, the scales are just misleading
> the "colt auto pistol" is 18.50, rough half of salary
> Many people in the US and elsewhere in developped countries earn anywhere from 1500-ish dollaroids.
> The ultimate memegun of our time, the HK Vp9 is around 700 buck, rough half too.
"Advanced" technology always come at a cost.
I have that book as well, AND one of the guns for sale in it

This 1895 was chambered in 54R for the Russians a few years later.

I don't think anyone's finger can move that fast. Put auto seer and trigger on that and we might be getting somewhere.

Huh
>>29738761
That's actually expensive for the time.
Back in the 1950's my grandfather used to get a box of 50 for 25-50 cents depending on brand. Buy them after school from the hardware store. They'd take their rifles to school and leave them outside class. Nobody cared.
1950's rural america
>>29737460
The fact I will never be able to spend under $300 on all these iconic pieces of history in mint condition genuinely upsets me
>>29735606
$18.50 in 1902 is equivalent to about $490 today.
