LEARNING MOMENT
I'll share a few.
So this first one isn't a "range story" but more a story about one of those bullshitters you occasionally meet. The background is that me and my wife work with a few reptile breeders and a rescue and periodically do the trade shows.

there was one time I saw an employee call a magazine a "clip" multiple times in front of a customer, and then go dryfire a mp22 like a dozen times.
he also touched some really nice 1911s with cheeto fingers.
and there was the one time I watched a faggot kid not wear eyes while shooting even after the RO told him to put them on like 3 times (its an indoor so catching brass to the eye is a real risk)
I love that range since local and cheap, but damn some of the people there are retarded.

Tbhfam I'd reccomend a created gecko first. Beardies are awesome but they can be moody and require a much more intensive diet than just bugs. Plus, their tanks require a lot more money invested.

What size fish tank do you own? Are you doing the 2 week water changes like your supposed to?
You don't have to be honest to me if you aren't, but be honest to yourself. That will help you decide if you should get a dragon because the last thing we need is more rescue animals man, and I say this politely as I can, if you can't take care of it for at least 10 years don't buy one.
Bearded dragons are great little guys and they get pretty big. But you have to handle them fairly often to keep them social, you have to clean their shit right away (it smells absolutely terrible) and they require greens in their diet as well as bugs.
A complete tank setup (excluding stand) will run you ~$150-200 at the shows. The dragon himself can be as low as a basic $20 one or a rather rare $400 one so it all depends.
Where do you live? They need higher temps and lower humidity, and as I live in the desert that's not too hard for me.

not doing cleanings since the fish died since lolgoldfish, but I did them about every 3 weeks since it was a bigger tank and he was alone so it didnt get too dirty too fast.

I would say that your best bet for the animal himself is a reptile store, but make sure to look around a lot.
Look up what reptile mites are and try your very hardest to see if the places your shopping have it.
Wear hand sanitizer before you handle any of them (any store will love you for it) but make sure to shop around a bit. The big box store animals are sometimes a bit wonky and they don't say who their suppliers are so that makes me nervous.
For the setup, look online at what you want the tank to look like, then compare that type of setup to the ones you see in petco and Petsmart and find the best price.
Mom and pop pet stores normally charge more for setups but less for animals, I dunno why.
They also tend to have animals that have much prettier morphs than what you see in petco and such

I go to a public range a lot. There's no ROs but it is operated by the Dept. of Conservation so plain clothed agents do go there so following the basic rules is advised. Any ways.

Saw 2 black guys shooting an 80% AR with a cheap red dot. It was firing on trigger reset, muzzle brake came loose, barrel nut wasn't even hand tight causing light strikes and the front and rear magpul sights were both on the handguard like 3 inches away from each other.

PS90 is fun. Just flat out fun. The only recoil is from the bolt. Ammo isn't as expensive as people make it out to be. Rifle itself isn't that expensive either. Does it have a point? Probably not. Is it my favorite rifle to shoot? You bet.

As someone who just got back from visiting SA it's bad. Family friend(White) down there was former conscript during Apartheid. Renewing or getting a license is a bitch and a half. Some firearms (Ak47 in semi) require a license that acts as a registration. No mag cap laws though. To get a license can take forever, or they'll simply not respond to the application.
