>Steyr making 40th anniversary collectible STG 77
Dammmmmmmnnnnn I just want that skinny scope to put on my A1
>>
Also apparently won't have that rail on the receiver when they do come out. Fucking Steyr making the AUG that a lot of people want, but only making a limited run of them.

WHY THE FUCK WAS I BORN IN NORTHERN IRELAND!
>>
>>29712473
I thought people living in North Potatostan could own rifles and handguns without too much trouble.
>>
Now let's se them make a lightweight, fluted 20" barrel with a 1:8 twist rate and standard threading.

While I'm dreaming, a reciever that isn't a fuckhuge piece of steel would be nice too.
t. Butthurt AUG owner
>>
>>29712508
1:9 is perfectly fine for 20" barrels and you know it, but yes, Steyr should be making more of the stuff that people have been asking for. More 20" and 24" barrels, more caliber options, better triggers(though they really aren't that bad), and more twist rate options for the barrels.
>>
>>29712507
Nope you thought wrong.
>>
>>29712569
You could always... move. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>
Why didn't they release this scope to begin with, because the stupid scope on it now doesn't have built-in irons?

I wish they didn't have rails all along the scope, or that you could take them on and off with some screws.

SOURCE
>>
>>29713560
that's why you get the original scope with mini irons on top of the optic
>>
>>29713747
Right, but this is only a limited production run, the normal production AUG M1s have more rails than a train station on their optics, but no irons.
>>
>>29713910
You can buy the originals senpai
I forget the website but he's got quite a few of them

PJ's website. Google Pete Athens.

how much did that set you back?
>>
>>29715856
Mine was $2060 after everything was said and done with this >>29712643
>>
>>29715843
Yeah, I like the classic scopes. I wish they'd sell them with the screws tapped for the M3-A1 receiver. The 3.0x scope is great, though.

>Listening to nutretarded
The AUG isn't perfect, but it is my favorite and most fun gun to shoot.
>>
>>29716116
he's unbiased and go into an autistic level of detail

why shouldn't I listen? Also he brings up valid points about the quick change barrel system seriously harming accuracy and the horrible ergos of the mag release
>>
>>29716219
Nutninhismouth is anything but unbiased. The AUG is as accurate as you'd expect from a service rifle, which is to say accurate enough for killing of all beasts. I wouldn't dare call the mag release of the AUG "unergonomic." It's a HUGE fucking button that can be slapped with a hand or fresh magazine that will let the mag free drop.

nutnbutshit and his project are so completely subjective and plagued by minutia that you should seriously reconsider listening to anything he says.
