What's the general consensus on A-TACS gear. How well does it hold up, is it actuall u decent or is it just shitty airsoft level.
I've seen one guy say if you have both FG and AU it works well year round.

I think Polish SOCOM uses it.
When I used to airshit still there were guys who wore it (both AU and FG). That and woodland marpat were the only patterns that I couldn't immediately spot.
I mean I've seen a lot of reviews and it seems to hold up well. But I'd rather hear it from people that have used it or seen it in action not through a screen.

I kinda sorta tried to replicate FG on my bag (since it was forest green to start), and AU on my rifle. Both work pretty well as a pattern in north PA. Multicam works better against the forest floor, but the psuedo ATACS is a way more versatile camo.
That said, I have no idea how it stacks up against the real one. It was just a drunken idea I acted on. I imagine the real stuff would be more effective at shadow emulation.

I think the principle behind it is sound, breaking up the shape with a variety of colours but no actual edges unlike multicam and others where it's a variety of splotches. A-TACS kinda fades from one to the other.

I had a pair of FG pants that faded their balls off after they were accidentally washed with detergent.
