Also, what's wrong with it being on the rail is the fact that it's got the chance to wander and lose zero when the rifle heats up (something EOTechs are already prone to) along with the fact that every time you take the handguard off for cleaning you've got to rezero it. 3. Leupold vx-r patrol TMR with firedot 3-9x
2. Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x

There are obviously better, equal and different. I originally intended to pretty immediately throw a Mark 4 on mine, but the VX-R Patroll has really impressed me. Light as fuck too. Think that retails for like $500 which would put you at the low end or under once you throw in the mount(s) of your choice. Or even less once you sucker me into selling you mine well below what I should.
