The darker parts are sewn onto the base layer, and therefore reduces the breathability in those parts. I like the gorka in the rain, eventho the cotton kinda soaks up pretty easily. Anyways this isn't for a hot weather. I dunno which is the max temp, haven't tested this during summer.

TL;DR it's rugged outdoor wear for harsh use, it doesn't compare to Gore-Tex, but it doesn't have to. for the 60 $ it's a really good purchase.
That one in the pic is BARS Gorka 3. SPOSN has ripstop as reinforcement, and the color difference is smaller.

My BARS Gorka 3 has ripstop reinforcement, I think you just have the older version where mine the "3k" has EMR ripstop reinfornced areas. I have the original version as well and it isn't ripstop. I really like how it looks after being worn heavily, and the bright akward green starts fading to a more olive shade. hottest I've worn mine was around 70f. It's meant more for the mountains where it will be hot, but windy. It serves as a windbreaker fantastically.
