I also do like the black aesthetically, but I already own many black rifles so it was 50 shades of tan for me and it's grown on me. Yeah the A2 grip had to go for me as well couldn't stand it. The Magpul selector was "meh" for me so I swapped back to the stock selector been looking at Thor's Hammer selector as an alternative. Do yourself a favor and get the Geissele Super SCAR trigger it's pure sex. My buddy has one on his SCAR 17s and it's god like. Hell I've been considering getting a trigger upgrade, but never felt the need since my rifles stock trigger pull is around 5-6lbs and grown used to it after 3k+ rounds. Another thing to consider is if you plan on shooting long range some optic mounts will interfere with the charging handle so you might want to look into a angled charging handle.
