>>
As long as you only operate in the temperature you sight it in at.
>>
>>29590930
What happens if it changes a few degrees?
>>
>>29590971
From the eokek website.
>>
>>29591008
Fuck. Should I cancel the order and get something else?
>>
>>29591062
I probably would. I really wanted an EOtech before I found out about this shit. Now I don't know which optic to get.. I think I'll end up getting the 1moa Trijicon RMR but it's a bit more expensive.
>>
>>29590906
Sorry friend, but Eotechs are garbage. I'm not saying that to shit on you, I'm trying to save your life.
>>
>making this thread just to samefag

Why do people like you exist?
>>
>>29590906

Junk sight.
>>
>>29591164
I don't think anyone is samefagging, senpai
>>
Airsoft Toy tier, the sights do not work outside of a climate controlled home.
>>
That's a pretty taktikool gizmo, can I mount it on my slingshot?
>>
OP here, just cancelled my order. Bummer...

Unless you really, really, really like the reticle- and/or think that you're going to brag and impress people by saying "eotech"- then you fucked up.

>glass shatters when dropped on anything harder than mud from any higher than 5 feet
>glass fogs and traps moisture
>battery life a shit compared to similar and cheaper alternatives
>weight a shit compared to similar and cheaper alternatives
>reticle itself not extremely compared to similar and cheaper alternatives

Eotechs are the equivalent of vaping- you might look cool to retards but in reality you threw away a bunch of money on an overpriced piece of shit glass and "metal" contraption that causes you more trouble than benefit and works 10% of the time

Jesus christ.

Are aimpoints better in this respect?
>>
>>29592510
>Are aimpoints better

Yes.
>>
Possible 1 inch drift at 25 yards.

>oh no! how will I ever punch holes through paper again?!?

Optics are more accurate than you are. you're all fags.
>>
>>29592606
>Optics are more accurate than you are
But I have physical proof that I can shoot better than 5MOA.
What the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>29592510
Absolutely. Aimpoint has always been and will continue to be the gold standard for red dots, especially now that EOTech's lies are coming out.

Although because of this fiasco, my friend gave me his XPS 2-2 and G33 magnifier for free. Soo... I guess the flaws are kind of acceptable since I didn't spend a dime on it. Worst case, I have an excellent magnifier I can use with any other dot sight I buy in the future.

>1 inch drift at 25 yards

That is 4 fucking MOA POA shift.
Eokek fags seriously defend this? Is this real life?
>>
>>29592998
Eotech themselves speak of a 5 MOA shift. See >>29591008
>>
>>29592606

if you take a 2 MOA dot out to 100 yards, if you're a decent shooter you should be able to do 2-3 MOA. now take that 2 MOA dot with a 4 MOA drift to 100 yards and you'll be lucky to shoot minute of man. Are you too stupid to realize this? Also, not everyone is a garbage shot like you.
>>
>>29591283
>mfw EOTech owner
>bought it before all the zero shift bullshit came about

I think the whole controversy has to be overblown. Mine has never lost zero, and I live in the midwest where we have wild temperature extremes. If it weren't for /k/ I would never have a clue that there were something wrong with these sights.
>>
>>29593093
Try it out for realsies though.

Shoot benchrest style at night in the cold, and then the same during a blazing hot day. And let the sight cook for a while first.

You have 5 minutes to come back with results.
>>
>>29591062
Are you going to be operating at temperatures below -40 or above 120? Where I live, temperatures have never even gotten near that extreme in all of history.

You'll be fine unless you're trying to use it in the middle of a Blizzard in Antarctica or on the summer solstice in Afghanistan or someshit.
>>
>>29591098
Get an Aimpoint, however ik you're shooting 308 which is a reach out and touch someone round, then might I suggest a Vortex PST 1-4x, the new one coming out is said to have a huge weight reduction. And it comes in FDE.
>>
>>29593106
I've sorta already done this though. Got the sight three summers ago and zeroed it on a hot Missouri day. Been using it all year long ever since, both at the range and in the field. Shoot coyotes out to 200 in the dead of winter with it.
>>
>>29593123
It it's staying zeroed, that obviously means you have a defective EOtech product.
>>
>>29593108
>Tfw one year ND went from -60 one day in the winter to 120 in the summer.
>>
>>29593108
I live in Phoenix AZ. It gets to 120 or pretty damn close to it. Whether I'd actually be shooting in that heat is another thing, but from 6am to 7pm there is a huge temperature change.
>>
>>29593113
It is 308. Is the current heavier model still good?

Ive had a vortex 1-4 on my 17s before.
Really not nearly enough magnification. Not really enough for a .223

For a .223 something that tops out at like x6 or x8 is good. For a .308, less than x10 and your hamstringing yourself.
>>
>>29591195
So you're saying they'd make a decent choice of HD rifle optic, considering the faster to acquire reticle and wider viewing angle? Just so long as it stays in the home.
>>
>>29593921
eotech reticles are not faster
and the QC issues with battery contacts might have it fail under even just sitting.

>>29593455

To what extent is the barrel "free floated"?
>>
>>29593984
Its got 4 screws that hold it to the reciever, thats it.

>>
>>29593998
What kind of accuracy are you getting from benchrest-like shooting?
>>
Why would anyone buy an Eokek after they got assblasted for having such a shitty product?

If the .mil is raging about it then it must be a turd.
>>
>>29594022
Depends on ammo.
Good stuff, moa
Handloads with a better shooter gets under moa, but not by much
ZQi I Get like 1.5-1.75moa
>>
>>29593108
I do. I thought i was going crazy at first, but i experienced thermal drift first hand. Sent it back to eokek for a nitro purge, thinking that would do it. Nope. Then they offered to buy it back from me when all this shit went down with the dod.

Went out and got the t2 micro, never looked back.
>>
>>29594037
Cloning mil rifles from GWOT and buying them cheap for the lulz would be the only reasons I can think of.
>>
>>29593108
>put gun in your car trunk on a hot day
>oops lost zero

it's not like anyone is ever "operating" their rifles on the surface of venus but there's lots of things that can cause freak conditions when the optic is concerned
>>
Buy an Eotech once cry forever. don't waist your money
>>
>>29592606

Thought of another one:
>buy Eotech
>blame sight when I can hit target
>?????
>profit
>>
>>29590906
Is there any other red dot that has the one MOA dot and the one hundred MOA circle? I don't like how big and shitty EoTechs are, but I like the reticle.
