Hand-loaded .45-70 if we're talking man-portable rifles. If you've got a vehicle or a fireteam, Ma Deuce should do it.

Nitro Express .600 or .700 might do it. Otherwise a PTRD or other anti-materiel rifle.
>>
At minimum, Probably one of those big, English, safari calibers. Something with a lot of powder behind it, with a lot of mass.

.557 tyrannosaur, naturally comes to mind. .500 nitro express would probably do the trick.

Your shot placement would have to be spot on though.

10mm or .45 to a vital organ

If you hit it from the side into the liver or heart it would die within a few minutes.

I don't think we really know too much about their skin thickness, but 50 BMG black tip should do it.

>all these fags goibg for inpractical as fuck guns or stopping rifles

The question was what would it take and a hot 6,5x55SE with the right bullet would be up the right alley for primary hunters rifle.
>>

Yeah, it'll bounce around in the skull and turn it's brain to mush.
>>

A 22lr is a measurable fraction of the size of a Tyrannosaur's brain, so for once this meme isn't completely wrong.

To preface, I'm currently studying paleontology at SDSMT. T Rex and other therapods were very "birdy." One of the primary adaptively that allowed their ancestors to survive the pre Triassic extinction was their large lungs. Dinosaurs maintained this trait, an adaption allowing for easier breadth in a low oxygen environment, till it made it to birds.

Back on topic, T Rex has fuckhuge, blood filled lungs. They were very muscular, but not around the ribs. Any cartridge considered reliable against elk would be able to perforate those huge lungs, but wouldn't put down the creature until enough blood drains. So most hunting cartridges can kill it, but not many couple slam it on it's ass. It's classic safari. The hunter brings his lower caliber weapon he's used to, and the guide has a terrifying double rifle that you can fit your thumb down the barrel, a breaking rifle to destroy the pelvis after traveling through a yard of viscera
>>
>>29583478
.50 BMG AP to the head? Make it an incendiary for good measure maybe.

One of those out of a .50 precision rifle of choice must be the cleanest, easiest and safest way to deal with a T-Rex.
>>
its a scavenger so kill something big and stinky, wait for the trex to come eat it, shoot its legs, wait

other rexes might even show up to shoot the first rex you should so bring a fuckload of bullets
>>
When will you fucking faggots learn that you don't need a big caliber to kill a big animal. You need a practical rifle with enough penetration. Hence, 6,5mm would be my take.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/6.5×54mm_Mannlicher–Schönauer
This fucking thing killed a hilarious amount of elephants, many of the bigger than average T-Rex.

So a 6,5 and a guy with a close range stopping rifle (585 Nyati)

Most of us like immigration, only Ukip supporters and EDL are against it, we need people to do shit jobs like slaughter houses, farmwork, factory shit and cleaners, any minimum wage job basically witch is set at around £9 an hour depending on age. We aren't all racist bigots. Basically we get the best trained people from Europe come and work for us. I have never felt a need to carry a weapon in any part of the UK, first because you can make a weapon out of bloody anything in a second, but also as I'm not paranoid. We don't treat welfare cases like scum and provide healthcare free so we don't get the desperation the poor in your country face that leads them to crime, and since no criminal record I can easily own a shotgun or hunting rifle I jus need to be part of a club. You can also carry any tool be it knife, axe or machete if you have no record and need it for work or recreational activities - you just get punished more if you are caught doing something illegal with it.
Moreover as far as military is concerned you would be be hard pressed to find any in the world that train and work harder, and have higher training standards than SAS, SBS, SFSG royal marines or Parachute Regiment.
With a small effective military we can afford to look after and maintain it properly, as well as look after the countries civilian needs.

Your aircraft carriers are basically floating ghettos at anyrate.

A fully grown T-Rex, while dangerous as fuck to a large herbivore, wouldn't be the deadliest kind of dino for humans. As was pointed out here numerous times, their heart and lungs were massive targets, and they weren't that quick.
They most likely weren't scavengers, Jack.

You know what would've been absolutely horrifying? Juvenile T-Rex. They were long legged, fast and light, with a bite that would still be more than enough to fuck a human up in one go.

Also on the list of shit that would fuck you up would be Dakotaraptor. This was a dromeosaur that actually was the same size as the ones in JP. They were covered in feathers (including wings, they have visible quill-knobs on their arm bones), giving them the appearance of a massive, toothy flightless bird of prey. Also, they lived in the same time and place as T-Rex.

Some of the current professors are a little tough to get along with, especially Pagnac, but there's amazing fossil in the area. Rapid city is fantastic, small city with all the amenities, Black Hills, Custer, and Badlands all close by. Campus is very gun friendly, and there's shooting all over the place for free. TheHunter Primal. It's pretty fun, TheHunter is a pretty good hunting game, then they made a dinosaur spinoff. Not as well made but pretty decent fun. You start without weapons and then have to find gear before you can start killing the dinosaurs.

If you like being stalked and eaten by a bunch of raptors it's a game for you.

It would actually take less than a elephant due to the T-rex bones being not as dense.

.50 bmg should be more than enough.

For that "stop right the fuck now" effect may I suggest a custom made hollow point from one of those 20mm anti tank rifles

Not a lot, hollow bones, predators build. They're lighter than an Elephant and have less protecting their boiler room, a .308w if we're talking killing and not stopping on the spot.
>>
>>29583478
Gonna be hard to do with that miniature fucking brain they had.

458 Lott could do it, if it can drop an elephant, it can drop a T. rex.
Or basically the biggest caliber you can actually shoot well enough to save your life if things go bad.

50 BMG from a distance will work just fine.

There are healed rex bite marks on herbivore vertebrae, so we already know scavenger rex was a meme, although it did likely scavenge if presented the opportunity.

Velociraptor sounds scarier than Deinonychus, and Utah/Dakotaraptor hadn't been discovered yet, but if they were, then the raptors in the film would've been significantly bigger.

Also real Dilos were a fuckton scarier than JP Dilos.

I couldn't say what I would use to kill it, but there are some things to consider. Current paleontological theories tell us that Tyrannosaurus had numerous and considerable advantages

>incredibly thick skin that would have made an elephant's look like tissue paper
>multiple layers of even thicker muscle
>thick, tightly spaced bones protecting vital organs, including a protective cage of bones protecting the underbelly
>thick skull protecting a brain which is situated near the base of the head, a difficult target to hit from a low angle
>binocular vision superior to a hawk's
>olfactory senses superior to a vulture's
>could probably run at about 25 MPH, and for fairly long periods due to efficient respiratory and cardiovascular systems

These beasts would have been a bitch to hunt, never mind kill
>>
>>29594211
Nope, they were a staple of Maryland hunters at the turn of the century. My great grandfather used to use on when he was selling game to hotels in D.C. and Baltimore.
>>
>>29584186
>it's a scavenger

The 1980s called anon, they're looking for you

Tyrannosaurus behaved similarly to other large carnivores in the modern age. It both hunted and scavenged, depending upon its needs and the current circumstances.
>>
>>29583478
An m82 would work well, otherwise something like a .45-70.

Kinda like that guy from Jurassic park who had a .45-70 lever action for taking out dinosaurs.
>>
>>29584405
I've heard theories that say that the heart might not have been very large relative to other dinosaurs. Some say it had a fairly moder, four chambered heart. If that was the case, it wouldn't have needed to be very large.

I also don't know how you'd hit it anyway. Their posture makes a shot from the front difficult, even if the thing wasn't trying to eat you. And from the sides, everything vital is protected by an ungodly amount of skin, muscle, and bone.

Birds are dinosaurs, so we can expect that some birdy behavior was present in theropods at the very least. One confirmed one for example is brooding on nests.

Also, have some Dakotaraptor. One theory as to why they may have had flight feathers on their arms (they definitely had some sort of large feathers due to the quill-knobs) was to keep their balance by flapping as they stabbed their prey with their foot claws and gnawed on them. It's something birds of prey do today.
In other words, if you find yourself given the challenge to survive in the late cretaceous Hell Creek formation, bring a 12 gauge and some good buckshot. Dakotaraptors and other not-so-huge predators (young T-Rex) are what you should worry about much more than adult T-Rex, who might not even bother with prey as small as a human.
>>
>>29596640
Yeah but I'm still going to ventilate a T-Rex if I get the chance.
>>
>>29596650
Just make sure that its kid doesn't bite your head off.
Pic related: Acheroraptor (may be a babby Dakotaraptor), Dakotaraptor, and a juvenile T. Rex. They all lived in the same time, same place.

We can fight back troll. And honestly it's a hard "statistic" to even prove. Countries record stats differently and things often go unreported. That plus the fact most violence in america is gang related so if you stay out of gangland you'll be fine. Even if you get caught up in bullshit you can shoot back and NOT go to jail.

I can just imagine some britcuck getting stabbed in the shoulder and just "oh better not make a fuss of it, put the kettle on and bring me some towels brian"
