And for the regional conflicts russia is busy with there's Transnistria, Donbas (and by extension Crimea), Chechnya, South Ossetia, Abkahzia, along with presences in Armenia thanks to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and Central Asian bases which paid off when they helped put down Kyrgystan ethnic clashes.
Also Syria of course.
