What happens when the military runs out of missiles?
>>29576757
Well when the British and French did, in Libya. They just called Uncle Sam and asked if they could borrow a cup of Hellfires.
A bunch of contractors get new pools.
>>29576757
I can't tell who was worse; her or her sister.
Fucking IDOL-shit in my otherwise solid turn-based-notWW2-tactical-squad-notNazi-murder-simulator.
>>29576867
and then THIS mission shows up
>>29576757
Don't they attach a smart kit to some of the bombs we still have lying around from WW2?
>>29576757
Barrel bombs
>>29576757
a mid level executive gets his wings (and a cushy government contract for more missiles)
>>29576898
Fuck off, I didnt need this reminder
>>29576898
Fuck that thing. But most of all fuck Selvaria showing up half way through killing it.
>>29576917
Selvaria's machine gun is so good.
>>29577076
>Selvaria's machine gun is so good.
Selvaria is so good.
>>29577047
First time I played that mission all my lancers were going for the left side; and all promptly wiped out when she walked in.
Fuck that mission.
>those rocket launchers
I know they're going for an aesthetic, but making the anti-tank lancers look like gigantic medieval jousting pikes really triggered me
>>29576757
They just buy more.
There is never going to not be missiles for the military to missile things with.
>>29577102
Yeah, too bad she was on the wrong side.
>>29576757
Follow up question:
Say we were again engaged in a large-scale conventional war.
Would it even be possible to ramp up and maintain production of missiles to keep our services armed; given how complicated and how many components these missiles take?
A lot of the electronic components are rare-earth elements; with a vast majority of these being brought in or manufactured in china. I have severe doubts we'd be able to maintain our current capability given a large modern conflict, let alone increase it. But I'm hoping someone with more insight could enlighten me.
>>29577163
Not with that attitude she wont
>>29577217
We build more you stupid bitch.
How 15 years old is this board? Wtf is this a thread?
>>29577256
You okay there buddy? Sounds like you're havin' a stroke.
>>29577277
We simply make more
>>29577202
We would run into logistical problems, like militaries have run into since the dawn of time.
We would need to be very selective with our use of missiles since they would be in very high demand and in low supply.
Look at WW1 where a single barrage of shells was consuming months of production. Look at the book "Band of Brothers" one mentioned event was the Nazis were particularly well supplied and any man running in the open was subject to an artillery shell. This implies that in other circumstances these valuable shells were reserved for priority targets.
Nations will always have shortfalls in munition production. Logistics wins wars, the next great struggle will see that hold true.
>>29576757
FIX BAYONETS!
if smart munitions are running low, there will simply be an increase in dumb munitions while they build more smart bombs and missiles and maybe a slight change in tactics.
Anyone that thinks otherwise, severely under estimates the sheer industrial power of a war economy, especially that of America.
>>29577140
man they definitely changed things up from the first game
>>29577335
Then we would have to shift focus back to dumb munitions? Wouldn't that severely affect the effectiveness of our aircraft as our current arsenal is not designed to carry large loads of dumb munitions, but smaller loads of smart ones?
>>29577545
You tell me; just look what they did to Europe
>>29577410
>sheer industrial power of a war economy
Yes, an economy with significantly lower manufacturing capability, resulting in far fewer factories having the ability to convert to wartime manufacture.
With significantly less natural resources and a huge reliance on the importation of materials necessary for much of our complex, modern equipment.
With significantly more complicated federal legal infrastructure that would certainly delay, if not kill, any rapid mobilization of the homefront.
We are well and truly fucked.
