last I read, it was just required to weld it either:
1: fully around the circumference of the flash hider to the barrel.
or
2: spot welded in four different places around the circumference of the flash hider to the barrel.
never once did it mention pinning the flash hider to the barrel. It's just a thing manufacturers do for CYA.
but then again BATFE could have decided to change the regulations within the past year since I last read it.
