Yes you can use a gun in self defence in Sweden. If there is a clear and imminent threat to a persons life, then it would be considered legal. Cases of this are however rather rare. Just defending your property would be considered assault or atempted murder.

It was the highest court in that matter which decided. Means the only options are:

-Constitutional court decides in our favour (which takes long but the decision was clearly unconstitutional)

Since the hunting law is currently getting redone anyways it will hopefully get included there.
