Hey /k/, I'm looking into getting my first CC gun. Any suggestions? Currently looking at a Walther PPK or Glock 19.

god fucking dammit I want a walther ppks as my first concealed carry. Am I going to have to give up on this? is the walther ppk the most tryhard CC gun imaginable?

actually nevermind I still want it. How hard are they to come by? could I only find one at a show?

I have one. I'll pry always keep it. Just after some backwoods ballistics testing (water jugs) it's become a safe queen for the most part.
Accurate, reliable, ate everything I fed it.
I just was unimpressed with the .380 part.

Two totally different animals. I'm personally not fond of safeties on a defensive pistol so I'd go with the G19. It's a little big for daily CC depending one where you live and how you dress but totally doable, even with a light if you go with something like a Surefire XC-1.

You could get a Bersa Thunder in .380 which is a PPK knockoff
>tfw doing mental gymnastics right now trying to justify buying a P239 over a Shield

Hey, the shield isn't shit. Don't bunch it up with those other guns
I just picked up a Glock 43 and I'm in love with it.
Perfect size for carry if you like glocks, I would check it out as an alternative to the 19 for CC

all of the knockoffs make me want to vomit for some reason, there's something too perfect about the original design

I bought an older Interarms Walther PPK/S for home/ CC, but there is a catch. The PPK/S is a blowback action, which many people say is unreliable, but I have not experienced any problems. The pistol is over-engineered, heavy, but that has pros and cons. It takes about 400 rounds to properly 'break the pistol in'. Once it's 'broken-in' it's very reliable.
Smith and Wesson makes a good PPK/S with many improvements over previous models. The little pistol is built like a tank and you can't say the same for Bersa or other clones.
