Everyone seems to have their own agenda and point of view in this conflict, arguably more so than any other recent wars. I've read and listened to many accounts dealing with this and I still do not realize the entirety of it's reasons, but I do know it was one giant clusterfuck in a little area.

It's because after literally hundreds of years (sometime over a thousand) people become set in their ways. You need to realize lots of these places, their cultures were formed in the Middle Ages resisting invasion after invasion. There are literally towns where one side of the road is Croat and the other Bosnian (or any combo thereof)...It's this idea that "this land is Croatian, has always been Croatian and will remain Croatian. It's similar to Voertrekkers in South African although we're not evangelical like them.

It dates back to WW2, and the mass genocide commited by the Croats, and later Bosnians.
The first foreign SS division was the Bosnian Handzar division, responsible for the death of my grandfathers entire family, except for him and his mother, who managed to run away.
In the recent war, everyone had someone die or be chased out of there homes. No familly was excluded.
As for the Kosovo war, it's not a gray area like the rest. Imagine Mexicans settling into Texas, becoming the majority and then trying to form a independant country. Then imagine being powerless and having Russia bomb you, all the way from NY through Washington down the Texas.

American here, I had classmates in HS from families from Bosnia and Serbia who fled during the war to escape the violence and they got along just fine over here (granted they were small children when they left). I don't think its reasonable to find fault with people who ran when absolutely all hell was breaking loose in the Balkans at the time. Admonish the US and NATO all you want, I could care less. But if you push a Serb-only narrative, don't be surprised if people start challenging it.

It dates further back than that but even in WW2 Serbs started it first in Bosnia. Chetniks killed several thousand Bosniaks in eastern Bosnia before Handzar was even considered.
The Albanians were majority in Kosovo for at least 300 years if not more, after Grate Serb migration in 1690.

I'm not going to pretend I don't know that there were enough historical grievances between you guys in the Balkans to start shit and I'm aware that the UN/NATO mission was extremely convoluted. I know that the Croats/Bosnians did shit too, not really excusing everything the Serbs did but it really poked holes in the whole "serbs wuz evil n shit Bosnians and Croats dindu nuffin" narrative.
But at the same time I've been on the board during other threads where you guys, the Bosnians, and Croats start shit talking about the war and how their family members did this and that and I'm just struck by how similar you all are. Probably is, the M-84/T-72 were not used in urban fighting in Bosnia, plus I can't remember any town in Bosnia that suffered that much devastation and was captured, excluding few towns in western Bosnia in '95 but those towns didn't have architecture that old.

You are plain wrong on the first one friend. The YNA was very active in Bosnia. But, yes it's the architecture that was common in the Austro-Hungarian occupied parts, such as all of Croatia and Zemun in Serbia. While Bosnia was a turkish shithole for most of it's life.

YNA was active, its just that those tanks weren't used in fighting in urban areas. The M-84/T-72 VRS had were deployed in Posavina region and around Sarajevo, they weren't used in urban fighting. Plus the area looks shoot up to hell, no town in Bosnia that was that soot up changed hands, excluding those few town in western Bosnia, Glamoc, Drvar, Grahovo, Sipovo, Mrkonjic, town that are in the middle of fucking nowhere and didn't exist until communists decided to build few buildings and call it a town. Such architecture does exist in central part of Bosnia but those areas didn't change hands during the war. I could be wrong, as such architecture exists in Posavina region and it saw some heavy fighting and changed hands but I still think its somewhere in Slavonia.

Croatia splits, Serbian inhabited part of Croatia splits from Croatia, Yugoslavia intervenes on side of Serbian territory.
In Bosnia there was a peace treaty signed before the war, but the American ambassador convinced Alija to pull his signature from the Lisbon Agreement, which ended up in him getting less after 5 years of war.
Kosovo was a insurgency later supported by NATO and Albania with frequent border clashes.
