Victoria here.

So far the government have said they're not going to change anything, but I don't trust them.

Seems we have won the battle, but the war continues.

You want to keep your guns in this country? Vote below the line, LDP, SFP, ALA. Vote freedom.
>>
>>29544624
>>29544627
Really? That is massively disappointing.
>>
Federal Justice Minister Michael Keenan says the Federal Govt won't change anything.

Except that individual state Weapons Acts don't have anything to do with the Federal Govt so prepare for the worst still.
>>
>>29544627
>So far the government have said they're not going to change anything, but I don't trust them.
They've got a budget and an election to worry about so I guess fucking us over is a lower priority for now.

Anything bad they want to do to us will go down better with the fearful masses if they stay mum for longer and let the media wind everyone up some more
>>
>>29544627
SFP are fudds
>>
>>29544754
Yep, see Robert Borsak saying no one needs a semi-auto?

That's why you vote LDP or ALA.
>>
>>29544759
ALA are like everything I want in a party. (One nation without Hanson, even though I like her she's had her image trashed by the media for decades.)

Where did they even come from. I might join and donate to them.
>>
>>29544781
Their position on firearms seems to be pretty vague though.
>>
>>29544759
>no one needs a semi-auto?
he's right, everybody needs at least three
>>

One Nation or ALA?
>>

ALA
>>
>>29544866
Might have to message him on Facebook and get him to clarify.
>>
>>29544559
So from what I've gathered we are stuck with the same laws for another 20 years.

Fuck.
>>
>>29544627
ALA were contacted about gun laws and said they do not plan on changing the current laws.

21 days until a brand-new Aus-made firearm is released.

Its in .22, and uses 10/22 parts, and KIDD barrels.

Promising a patent pending design, follow FOU on facebook, (shilling shamelessly), as we are buddied up with them for the release.

The gun store in Melbourne is awaiting the lever-release version of this French firearm. Once it gets classified by customs, ill let y'all know. 99% sure it'll end up being a Cat D, but if not, its a lever release 30-06

Current waiting on an email back from a Russian firearm manufacture to get a quote on a batch of these bad boys. 5 rounds of revolving fun.

Warwick Firearms have trimmed all the fat from their company that was causing production issues. Scott Warwick has confirmed they are back to production. If you want to skip the list, you can buy direct from Cleaver Firearms, as 50 x .223 and 50 x 300blk models were paid for up front by Cleavers.
>>
>>29545195
Any of these revolver carbines got a really light double action so it can be fired like a semi auto?
>>
>>29545227
I've fired the rossi. Heavy as fuck.
The Russian revolving shotgun pictured, the MTS-255 has a 60N trigger pull lmao, but on a review I read, it kept up with a Remington 1400, and was said to kick less than the Auto-5

The Alfa ProJ, a .357 revolving carbine is pretty well made....with the exception that it has no blast shields. Ozzie Review's did a video on it.
>>
>>29545202
Still $2.5-3k?
>>
>>29545244
60N = 13lb trigger pull in DA
Its a 4lb pull on SA.
>>
>>29545251
2950 from cleavers. I'd wait out untill the end of the year though. Lets just say there are other companies in Australia making a move...

No, this one will be made in country....

I'm going tomorrow. I had work till about 7 am, so sleep was needed.

>But showing off, he started loading Frag 12s into the Mts-255. Yes, you read it, frag 12s! The exploding bullets we see in the video games. My friend loaded up an ordinary Frag 12 High Ex Antipersonnel, and fired at a mannequin that wears Type III body armor 35m away. I know a lot of things have been said about how an FN-Five Seven bragged about that it can penetrate armor. Well a frag 12 loaded in a sawn-off Mts-255 didn’t just penetrate, it destroyed body armor. The mannequin exploded in a red hot fireball, and the magnitude was pretty impressive for a small missile of utter death. I wished I had a camera because I would have loved to record that awesome event.

This seems pretty fucking bullshit m8

>You want to keep your guns in this country? Vote below the line, LDP, SFP, ALA. Vote freedom.
You should clarify that this is vote below the line on the senate ballot paper.
>Except that individual state Weapons Acts don't have anything to do with the Federal Govt so prepare for the worst still.
This is the real risk. Think Victoria with its socialist premier who's popularity is plummeting due to stupid policies and wasting $1.1Bn not building a road. Using firearms as a populist whipping boy is a strong risk.
>>29544759
>Yep, see Robert Borsak saying no one needs a semi-auto?
Don't vote SFP. Borsak has shown he's willing to throw us under the bus to please the nogunz.
>>
>>29545191
An anon posted on here that it will be classified Cat D because the legislation includes using gas or recoil for any part of the reloading cycle as the definition for semi-auto.

From memory this technically means anything that extracts, ejects, cocks, unlocks or feeds automatically after firing could satisfy the definition of semi-auto.
>>
>>29550573
This is where state legislation gets funny, in QLD it has to be SELF LOADING (as in completing the loading cycle without interruption) so this would be a cat B on paper.
>>
>>29550715
Just had a read through of the Qld laws. This is one of the worst drafted pieces of legislation I've read.
The Weapons Act 1990 doesn't provided a definition of semi-automatic, self-loading or the respective categories of firearms. However, it refers to both semi-automatic and self-loading firearms in contradictory ways.

The definition of firearm categories are found in the Weapons Categories Regulation 1997. It uses different terms throughout the document. For example: s 2(1)(d-e) require a Cat A to be a rimfire or shotgun, other than a self-loading shotgun or rimfire rifle, or a P/A shotgun. However, there's no mention of this requirement in s 3 outlining what a Cat B firearm is.
Then in s 4 Cat C firearms are defined as semi-automatic rimfire rifles and shotguns, and P/A shotguns. Note the two different terms. Giving police, shooters and the courts different terms to work with is poor form.
This poor drafting continues: At s 5 the regulations define Cat D as self-loading rifles, once again returning to a different term.

What's worse is the act provides no definition of what a self-loading or semi-automatic firearm is. The courts usually arrive a (reasonably) logical position, especially the higher courts. However, police cannot be trusted with such broad terms.

Really poor form on Queensland's part.
>>
>>29551437
That's what happens when you rush legislation through. Another reason I can't believe these laws were drafted and in waiting since the late 80s because the lack of proof reading and clarification is mind boggling.
>>
>>29545244
The Alfa Carbine is fucked. I shot the 22lr version and got my face sprayed with burning powder. Shit sucks.
>>
>>29551437
Not to defend the act but did you also read the 1996 Regulations?
Pretty sure it's in there.
