6000 rounds should do the trick. And your ar shouldn't melt down after 20 mags. There's that video of the guy using drum mags at full auto and it takes quite a while.
All they have to do is charge from all directions while firing their 3000 round airsoft machine guns at the AR guys and they will win. The being blinded from all the pellets hitting their faces will also massively reduce casualties.

What is starting distance?
Assuming 100 yards. Best times for trained runners is close to 9 seconds.
Air soffags need to engage in hand to hand combat to win.
+25 sec for typical fag fitness
+12 sec for gear
+640 sec for activating battle plans (+/- 380sec variable)
ARfags can effective range +/-300 yards
Each hit on Air soffag adds either death or mobility penalty. Penalty from +5 to +infinity to Air soffag move time.
+/- 100 hits required per AR fag to win. Assuming 50% hit percentage per AR fag each would need about 200 rounds to disable/stop advance. The remaining 100 rounds each would be used for coup de grace.
