The Final Countdown (1980) Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen
During a training op, the USS Nimitz is hurdled back in time to December 6th, 1941, just outside Pearl Harbour. F-14's vs Zeros fights occur. Lots of philosophical debates about taking the war to the Japanese taskforce heading to Pearl is discussed.
The movie had full cooperation of the US Navy and so the film makers got access to the ship, her some of her crew and all the planes and helicopters they used in 1980.

Everyone should at least like the ending speech - because everyone knows Rambo (and the sequels) but I suppose the ending really has a special message about how war can fuck people up.
