Hello /k/, Canada fag here. Anyone able to tell me what kinda knife this is and what it's used for? Thanks.
>>
>>29533040

That's an inexpensive folding blade knife with a broken tip. As seen from its condition, it's used for tossing in the gutter and buying a new one.
>>
>>29533040
Someone fucked your buck. Bummer.
>>
>>29533049
Tips not broken, it's made that way.
>>
>>29533055
No
>>
>>29533073
It folds into itself perfectly. If there were any more on the end of it it wouldn't fit.
>>
>>29533040
The flat tip might be for prying stuff.
>>
>>29533055
Bullshit. Its probably 420Hc steel.

Its shit steel, but its high quality shit steel. Buck polished that turd till it turned gold. Its actually quite remarkable.

However, it isnt very strong, the tip broke. Somebody probably used it as a gasket scraper/ pry tool and it just gave up. U dont like partially serrated blades, personally, but they serve a propose. Cutting rubber hose? Stab it through, then saw, with pressure on the grip, to use the serations. Cutting zip ties? Pop the tip under and cut the bitch. This has no tip, can be used as an improvised screw driver, or to clean gaskets like a scraper. Id keep it.

But i carry a leatherman wave. Its pretty bad ass, but i broke it 3 weeks in. The straight edge has excess travel, still locks though.
>>
>>29533123
It's not broken. Canuck fags have to have knives without tips per Canadian law.
>>
>>29533078
*throws shield* YOU ARE WRONG, ANONYMOUS, you are wrong!
>>
>>29533078

You should provide evidence to corroborate your assertion because as it stands now, it seems improbable.

Alright I may have lied. Looks like it could have had a tip. But it doesn't look sharpened, and it's a clean edge, doesn't look broken.
>>
>>29533154
Haha no I was being a smartass. Truthfully I don't know. Given their current PM it wouldn't surprise me.
>>

I have a karambit too. I'll bring pics if this thread is alive tomorrow morning.
>>
>>29533169
420hc isnt great, but it's practical.

It doesnt hold an edge very well, because its soft, but it shapens quick, because its soft. So long as you maintain it, could be a 6 year knife. Or you could sharpen it and leave it in a drawer, then its a 20 year knife. Take a chefs steel to it.

As suspected. I'm assuming you found it in the ground somewhere, probably because someone broke it and threw out away (and is a litterbug, so he literally just threw it away.)

I also found a broken knife in the dirt the other day, so that's what I was thinking about when I saw the post.
>>
>>29533200
I used to work at a shoppers drug mart. Some sketchy dude came in and dropped it on the ground. For all I know I own a murder weapon.
>>
>>29533200
Never seen that brand before.
>>
>>29533206
I doubt it. Are you located on the north american continent? Probably, seeing as how its got a seat belt cutter and a glass breaker. A broken tip on a cheap knife means you got your money out of it. Id toss it too.
>>
>>29533217
I am. Saskatchewan
>>
>>29533224
Thats why ive never seen that brand before, kek.
>>
>>29533078
I've got one, the tip is busted yo.
>>
>>29533312
We'll then rip knife.
>>
>>29533314
It's still good man, it's just got a broken tip.
>>
>>29533040
looks like a garbage knife made for /out/-fags

No but if you sell knives there he might have stolen one.

>>29533208
Hart isn't really a knife brand, it's a brand of hand tools.
They particular knife came in a "tactical knife" two pack from the Home Depot for, and I'm not kidding here, $14.88

Actually, Canuckistan has pretty good knife laws.

Basically, intent differentiates weapons from tools, so you can carry any size of fixed or folding knife so long as it is not being carried with the intent of being used as a weapon.

Only balisongs and autos are illegal to own. Daggers are legal to own but not to carry, i think (not sure).
>>
>>29533138
No, we don't, you perennial shitstain. You're confused with Britbongistan.

Lurk moar.
>>
>>29533954
Not even him but don't insult him when you're also wrong. Britain doesn't have laws against blade tips.

The way carrying a knife legally works in the UK is that you're allowed to carry any blade so long as it is not a gravity/ballisong/switchblade as long as you have "justification". That could be if you're camping or your work requires it.

You don't need any justification for what is considered a pocket knife. So a blade 3" and under, folding non locking. Anything above that needs "justification at the officers discretion". That said, if you were out camping and had a seax or a hunting knife on you, nobody would know anyway.

Though I dislike the idea of needing to justify carrying a tool. I get weird looks for having a SAK of all things.
>>
>>29533154
Not even a little. Canada gives very little fucks about knives. Everyone I know carries a folder. It's just a tool.
The women at my wife's office in Toronto all carry knives.

Also... OP, did you find this knife in Ajax, Ont.?
Because it looks exactly like the knife my buddy threw away quite a while ago. Broken tip and all.
>buddy (m) in school for MNR
>drags us out to take soil samples
>buddy (n) asks to borrow M's knife to fuck around with
>N promptly throws knife at tree, snaps tip off
>M is furious, I tell him if it broke from being thrown, it was already trash.
>leave bust ass knife under tree
>N buys M a nice spring assist as repayment.
>all was well
>...
>some faggot finds knife?
>posts knife on /k/ like a faggot, making ameritards think we live in some feelgood garbage eurocountry nightmare.
>>
>>29534521
Nvm, just saw that you're way over in sask.
More likely this knife is just a shitty make, and finding them broken is a likely event.
>>
>>29533938
Depends on your excuse. Have carried a sykes fairbairn around, and when I was a retarded teen, wore a cavalry saber around from time to time.
When stopped by cops, I said "I am taking it to my friend's house." And they never asked any questions beyond that.
