If you want to go: get clean now, volunteer to head to ntc/jrtc early and unpack your company property to dodge any early piss test, then get yourself in the arms room or an s shop so you can be at sick call or at a family emergency when the test comes. Even when you get a 100% test they only need like 85% to actually get tested, and with the deployment they won't really care. Once you finish the p redeployment training you'll get a special gear issue or two, then sit around for a month while the brass makes arrangements in country and argues over how many of you are actually going to deploy.
Once you get on a plane you'll probably stop in Germany then hit Manas and get a week of classes and bullshit followed by a flight to a larger base before moving on to your actual AO. There was a trend of leaving equipment in country and covering down until it was broken beyond usefulness, but with the draw down its up in the air how it will work out. There isn't alot to do mission wise, so expect to maintain your equipment and pull gate guard or escort local nationals around the fob between missions.
