I ordered some Mec Gar mags from Brownell's. They take up to 2 days to ship which is annoying but they're reputable.
Okay, confession, I accidentally ordered the 228 magazines but they're absolutely identical, 100% except they have 228 stamped in the side instead of 229.
So I called sig and asked if it was okay and were they really identical. The guy I talked to said yes but depending on the age of my 229 there may be extra play in the magwell. My 229 is new and there wasn't extra play. They're identical, at least in 9mm. You'd think caliber wouldn't matter in this and you may be right.
I just don't know.
