My lgs had a shelf full of .22 of all different brands. Wal-Mart is still empty, though
>>
>>29523168
I have still yet to see a single box of .22 ammo in a store (LGS, big box, wal mart, etc) since sandy vag. I have seen scalpers and hoarders lined up at wal mart 2 hours before they stock ammo though. See that shit pretty often.
>>

There is 22 in socal, but it's 12cents per round on a good day

But at least we have it

Fucking why? the boat was gone like two years ago, who is going to buy .22 at retarded prices when stare are mostly back in stock? This is more retarded than people still trying to sell greentip as banned.

Come at me faggot. I have almost 80,000 rounds of CCI. In my basement. I have bought abd resold damn near a million rounds in the last 2.5 years
I'm the reason no one in the county I live in has a single round.

Profit. The fact that it makes half of this board cry is just an added bonus. Poorfags acting like bernie voters and bitching because someone can buy things they can't.Let me ask you a honest question. If some natural disaster happened as they are like to do would you feel like the people who took the time and funds to make sure they had food and water and heating fuel to provide for themselves are bad people?
Buying low and selling high is life, fighting that is like getting buttflustered at the ebb and flow of the tides.

Alright cool, but there is no immediate threat that calls for the hoarding of .22 ammo. I guess I shouldn't care cause I haven't bought any since Sandy Hook, but it's just such a dumb phenomenon. Congrats making profit off of it, but now ammo prices for .22 have tripled for no reason

Since president Obama has come into office there have been over 110 million 4473 forms filled out. That's a lot of weapons sold and a majority were to new weapons owners. That had a massive increase in the demand of all ammo.
Next is the hidden truth that the manufacturers drastically decreased production of 22lr over the more adult calibers back then. They deny this and have since resumed normal production and some have almost doubled their production.

The shortage of 22lr isn't really a shortage as much as a run and those two things are different animals. A shortage means it can't be found, a run means it's around but costs more and moves fast.

You can trust my numbers or do your own research but almost 2 bullion rounds of 22lr are pruduced a year. If the manufacture is stalled it creates an artificial vacuum that may never correct. This has nothing to do with people like me. We buy then sell. It stays on the market one way or another. The real bastards are the hoarders who will let their stashes sit collecting dust for years and years,. Resellers do not do that.

I hope this brings your understanding up to par anon and get a couple thousand rounds for ever firearm you own. DO it now. Get a second job, sell some shit ...whatever. It's your SACRED duty to be ready to provide for yourself and your loved ones.
God takes care of those that take care of themselves.

REMEMBER THIS... If you aren't ready for what happens when Hillary wins you're a fucking asshole and I don't want to hear you bitching at anons who made damn sure they were prepared.
>>
>>29525992
I've got maybe 1,000 in .22 LR and less in other calibers, planning on properly stocking this summer when I'm making more money. It's good that more people are buying guns, and I hope ammo manufacturers will continue to respond to this by upping production. It seems like both gun owners and gun/ammo manufacturers stand to benefit from this boom in the market.

I see the difference between a run and a shortage, but if all you're doing is buying then reselling ammo aren't you just contributing to the paranoia and hysteria surrounding the extreme buying?

I don't buy ammo from walmart anon. I buy bulk, like a few thousand pounds at a time and not just 22lr. I provide a service lots of people like. Not to beat my my own drum but I'm a very charitable person. When it's Scout day at a range I donate as much ammo as they have time to practice with. Anyone who knows me can come to me.
Now, as far as cost of things in general. I remember smokes going for .75 cents a pack and gas was under a buck everywhere. Things change.

I'm very happy you are thinking about your long term needs. What state do you live in. If itl;s one we do shows in I will sell you what you need at my shipped cost anon, you have been civil even though you didn't really want to.

REMEMBER, the liberal socialist anti gunners have specifically targeted ammunition as a means to gun control. Do what every you have to but get a couple thousand rounds for each individual firearm you own and maybe twice that for your preferred rifle and sidearm. This is the best advice I can give you. Think about general preparation as well.

I love the board and only want good things for all of us but my family comes first.
>>29526163
>retard
I buy direct from the manufacturer when I can and I also buy from the same websites you do anon. I just happen to buy 10 and even 20 thousand rounds a month so I get a discount from almost all of the online ammo houses. I'm a legit dealer, tax ID and everything. We do shows all over and have a majority of repeat customers.
They say a great salesman can sell ice to an eskimo, the best salesmen are the ones whose customers are happy to see them time and time again.

Wait what? This thread is about scalpers, the guys who hang around Walmart at 6 in the morning to get the new boxes of .22 the minute the sporting good section opens and then try to resell 5 cpr above retail. Why are you writing articles defending something literally no one mentioned and everyone is okay with?

I am going to copy pasta this post from anothr anon in another archived thread.
I have been saying Soros was behind this for two years and everyone laughs. looks like it's real. When is this motherfucker going to get charged as a threat to the national security of the United States. FUCK.

>No dude, that's not the truth. The truth is, Vista Outdoors is hoarding their own ammo. I've said this before but nobody else is talking about it apparently. They have at least 6 warehouses full of .22lr right now. I have no idea why, but after seeing this:

http://www.ibtimes.com/political-capital/democratic-financier-george-soros-invested-firearm-companies-while-backing-gun

I have a nasty feeling. It might actually turn out to be true that the illuminati overlords are trying to keep American citizens from training their children to shoot.
>>
I shoot 22lr. Last time I shot was before sandy. I don't plan on going to a range in the next 3 years. Sometimes when I get the rare chance to drive an hour to a city and maybe get a chance to poke my head in somewhere that maybe sells .22lr... It's 15c a shot or more, or they don't have it.

My plan was, well. If there were .22lr I could do that stupid hour drive to a range another day and have some fun for more than an hour. I don't do this shit because it's cheap, I do it because I have a budget to time of fun allowed. I'm not going to spend 5 minutes firing 1 shot of 8mm mauser or whatnot.

I am not home enough to get the "randomdeliveryguyLOLyou'renothere" must-sign-for-package ammo that's a mandatory 100 dollars or more for 7cent ammo(including shipping). I think there's a waiting list for that crap now.

I'm not interested in the hobby as much as I could be.
>>
>>29527140
You're overthinking it. The old fuck knows every time there are renewed demands for gun control, gun sales spike. Of course he's going to invest in gun manufacturers while aggressively pushing for gun control.

Those willing to erode our rights in the interest of making money deserve to be locked up, they are the lowest form of scum.

It is caused by hoarders panic buying ammo at 10x the rate before sandy hook and to some degree it is still happening. .22 ammo is cheap and for the cost of a case of any other caliber you can get 5x as much so poor people hoard it.

Yeah I've tried to be civil since /k/ is a place where we all love and wish to continue using our firearms. We all share a unique and important interest, there's no point in dividing this community over buying ammo.

But I am upset .22 ammo has gotten so expensive, regardless of what factors are responsible, kek

I can't plink at my ranges and shooting .22 at paper is pointless imo.

9mm and steel case is where its at for cheap shooting.
>>
Is there a reason everyone here goes to a physical store to buy their ammo? I can get CCI at bulk prices with free shipping for about $.09 a round online.

I've been stocking 5.45 like a fucking man though
>>
I'm still relatively new to guns, and I gave up on .22LR when I heard all the awful stories about scalpers.

I don't even own a .22LR firearm, and I no longer plan to own one in the future.
>>
>>29528093
>Is there a reason everyone here goes to a physical store to buy their ammo? I can get CCI at bulk prices with free shipping for about $.09 a round online.
Because they don't want to pay nine cents a round.

.22LR should be four to six cents a round. Seven at worst.
>>
>>29527938

Arizona. I'm not suggesting there's no .22 ammo in the entire state as I know that is false, but I could drive for 100 miles and not find a single round.

>we always sold .22 to people who just bought a .22, to father/son when they came in, and to friends / special customers.
The LGS in town pull some bullshit when it was hardest to find. If you bought a new gun you could get 2 or 3 hundred rounds but everyone else could only buy 50 a week. Called him a Jew bastard on a crowded day and said all of us should take our business somewhere else. I used to spend a lot of money in his shop.
