Gee Bill, TWO propellers?!

>>
Didn't they make side by side two seater version because solo attack heli is dumb.

Yes. I believe it can even aim its cannon.
>>
>>29516406
Yeah, single seater was too hard for pilot.
>>
>>29516313
No, that's why Ka-52 is in service.
>>
Why would they put a tail on it?
>>
>>29516333
>propellers
God damn kid
>>
>>29516333
If helicopters had propellers instead of rotors, you'd have a real fuckawesome calamity.
>>
>>29522596
Stability at high speed I think, same reason "normal" helis have a tail fin as well as a rotor.

they even make a tandem seat version for Turkey
but the Tuk didn't buy it and the side by side version can be equited with radar
>>
>>29523044
Are you talking about a stabilizer fin? Or the tail rotor?
>>
>>29523078
I don't understand how what I said could be misunderstood. I'm talking about how non-coaxial helicopters have a stabilizer fin (tail fin) as well as a tail rotor. Presumably it's to aid stability at high speed.
>>
>>29523096
Well he asked why they would put a tail on it, which is terrible vague question, and then you responded with something you're not even sure of. So what precisely are you guys talking about? Horizontal fins (or stabilizer fins) are for horizontal flight at any speed. And you have to have a tail rotor if it's not dual rotor... I don't understand what you guys don't understand.
>>
>>29523115
I don't fucking understand anything.

The guy asked "why put a tail on it", I responded that they still need a tail for stability in horizontal flight (like you said). I don't understand what >>29523078 doesn't understand, but at least I think you and I are making the same point.

A coaxial helicopter doesn't need a tail rotor (which serves to cancel out the torque from the main rotor), but it still needs a tail fin for stability in horizontal flight.
>>
>>29523132
Okay so we're saying the exact same thing. So what the fuck over?
>>
>>29523154
Good shit, >>29522596 class dismissed.

Thanks
