Hey /k/ I found this at a garage sale, apperantly it isn't a real gun the lady told me it was from 1935 and belonged to her father, has a dirty old box and here is the piece taken apart, no firing pin or anything

Is this just a cheap replica type toy or what do I have?

if its a replica it should say replica if its legit it should say "9mm" "high power" have a serial number say where it was made if you get a serial number you can look up when it was made (not really useful but interesting none the less)

Marushin FN Browning High-Power (PFC Model Gun)

Made in Japan
Operating principle: Cap firing model gun, semiautomatic
Availability: In stock, used, in excellent condition

This is a full–size, fully-functional and field-strippable cap firing model gun. It has a realistic firing effect complete with a muzzle flash, an ejecting of spent shells, gun powder smoke, recoil and a firing sound.

This cap firing model gun version of FN Browning High Power M1935 (Canadian) pistol gives valuable insight into legendary FN Browning M1935 pistol that served both Allied and Axis forces in World War II.

The FN Browning High Power M1935 cap firing model guns are no longer manufactured and are becoming more rare although cartridges and caps are widely available.

Lenght: 195mm
Weight: 520g
Ammunition: Replica 9mm Parabellum plug fire cartridges
Ammunition capacity: 13

It is in fact a toy, fires a 9mm cap to simulate real gunfire

Eh I got a few hours but I woke up 2-3 hrs ago and saw this I though he was asking if it was real the main spring and hammer got me I never dealt with replicas so it looked fairly real to me until I saw japan/Tokyo

What is it? A good way to get yourself killed is the correct answer. Jesus, why in God's name would anyone want a gun that looks real, goes bang, has a muzzle flash, ejects spent case and not actually fire a bullet?
>>
>>29510822
Fair enough, but a youtube search makes them look quite cash.

Shit, in that case load it with some real 9mm, fire it with a string and see what happens.

Take video and post it here.
