If you want. IMO there are better bullpups out there.

Yes, especially if you want a .300 Blackout bullpup (which will come later).

Nope, STANAG compatible.

>>29503839
Aren't the Tavor and the X95 (which has just released) the most available bullpups on the market and have the best support (replacement parts, aftermarket, etc...)?

AUG mags are the greatest polymer magazines ever created. To pick the STANAG version over the standard is to do yourself a diservice. Also the NATO version doesn't have the bolt release. Simply stock up on waffle mags and never look back.

From an esthetic standpoint, I think it's a complete improvement.

I definitely agree.
>>
>>29504025
The civvie X95's handguard is WAY better than the old one.
>>
>>29504112
No bullpup will ever look as aesthetic as the AUG. I don't know why other companies even try.
>>
>>29503824
It's nice. If you consider a Tavor as potential purchase, or you have it and liked it- might as well go for the X95. It's like Vietnam M16 to a modern M4.

>>29503931
> 300 Blackout
wasn't it canceled? Or did the y cancel the other meme round?
>>
>>29503824
It looks like a dramatically improved Tavor, but you should hold out for some non biased reviews - the original Tavor got alot of praise but IRL it was shit compared to an AUG/FS2000/etc.

Pay particular attention to trigger reviews
>>
>>29503824
Yes. They fixed literally everything wrong with the original. Except maybe the heavy trigger? Idk I haven't heard.
>>
Why did I think the X95 was coming out in 5.45x39 as well? Did I make that up?

Also if it came in 7.62x39 I would probably jizz my pants.

Not that I know of. Not sure what the other meme round is, but they squashed that "7.62x51 Tavor" talk years ago.

>>29504161
>Why did I think the X95 was coming out in 5.45x39 as well? Did I make that up?
IIRC, the military one has a kit for it, but not the civvie one.

>>29504166
That's literally the ONLY reason that handguard is useful, but unless the Hearing Protection Act passes, most people wouldn't get any value out of it. The new quad rail one is better for that and aesthetically as well.

DK about US market, but I used both during service in the IDF, and the X95 is indeed vastly improved by all aspects. Yes, including the trigger.

And how can you say it"s "shit" compared AUG/Fish? Of the 2 I only got to use the F2000 once, and it had no immediately noticeable advantage over the Tavor. They present some competition to one another, sure, but I would pick my good Micro over any of them.
>>
>>29504025
this, I want the old one but the new one is disgusting. I was ready to drop $2k on the old one but as soon as I saw the shot show pics I just bought 2 Bulgarian AKs.
>>
>>29504253

>>
>>29504234

>>
>>29504253
The original civvie market tavor - bad trigger, mag dropping issues thanks to mag release being to easy to bump, ergo's; all in all it's a pretty mediocre bullpup that got way too overhyped here - the X95 looks like the son that was promised but I'm still stressing US buyers to do their research and not be an early adopter.
Every FS200 I've handed has been a tack driver and the AUG's only downside is it's trigger.

Besides a full fun Israeli military X95/MTAR doesn't exactly translate to a US civilian market semi-auto only product.

Also bring back the galil pls k thx
>>
>>29504335
Give Galil, plox
>>
>>29504335
Now to add to this, I do think the US civ market X95 looks like hot sex - if it turns out to be an AUG/RDB beater than the only thing that's going to stop me from getting one is waiting for more frame colors like OD and hunter safety orange
>>
>>29504371
>if it turns out to be an AUG/RDB beater than the only thing that's going to stop me from getting one is waiting for more frame colors like OD and hunter safety orange
Honestly, if it weren't for KelTec STILL not having adequate production for their guns, I wouldn't be so keen on the X95. If MSBS had gotten imported this year, I'd have a hard time picking between the X95 and the MSBS.
>>
>>29504350
I don't know why IWI bothered bringing over the Galil ACE in 7.62x39.
We only really want the ACE in 7.62x51, though I suppose a few may like .223 ones.

We really want AR's/ARM's/SAR's and MAR pistols in .308 and .223.
Give us what we want jew and we'll give you our shekels
>>
>>29504403
The RDB's trigger is hands down just friggin excellent, Keltec is probably going to redesign the gun so it isn't as butt ugly but they really have a great trigger design
>>
>>29504466
Kel tec's problem is they haven't created enough demand from government markets, and have too much demand for their pistols to expand manufacturing.
The KSG turned out to be a hot ticket item among LEO's so they are churning those out, hopefully it gives them the incentive to invest in more manufacturing capability.

As an AUG owner I'm always confused by the trigger critisism. Especially when it's called mushy. The AUG trigger has no take-up, and a clean, plastic-y feeling "click" of a break. I'm far from a trigger snob, but I get nothing but good results out of mine.
>>
>>29504435
The new .308 Galil looks ugly as sin, seriously it's hideous.
>>
>>29504466
I wish I could experience it myself, but I'm not paying Gunbroker inflated prices for that thing.

Since I live in Florida, I could just fucking drive to the KelTec factory, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have any anyway.

>>29504497
I really wish they would license out the RDB to a few Florida gun makers, but lord knows they won't do it.

"Mitznefet". Shaped camo net attachment for helmet. Like every-soldier's ghillie suit's headgear.
> Brake the shape of the head, making it harder for the enemy to detect it- even at close quarters can give you a split second advantage (super helpful when peaking windows)
> Makes shade: sunstroke is a major issue for anyone fighting in the desert, the Mitznefet helps reducing the chances of getting one
> Can be used to alternates thermal signature of the head
> Has version with RF filter to keep the brain from getting cooked.

>>29504335
> mag release being to easy to bump
Never understood how people got to it. I ran with this thing, jumped with it into ditches, carried it around... and never bumped the release to a point where the mag fell off.
Maybe the civi version wasn't made well enough?

> ergo's; all in all it's a pretty mediocre bullpup
STFU you antisemite. Seriously though, never held a gun with ergos that felt better for me than the X95 with the CTAR coming in second.

> do their research and not be an early adopter.
Every word in the rock.
Nothing is perfect, and people should look into it before spending ton of money on something they might not like.

> Besides a full fun Israeli military X95/MTAR
I wish. Doctrine forbids full fun for anything that doesn't have it's bullets packed in a belt.
They even went as far as loctite-ing it in the X95.

> bring back the galil
I only 1 reservist going around with it, said he killed too many people with it to just let them take it away and let it rot in some warehouse
just because "it;s time to move on".
>>
>>29504497
Kel-Tec are a unique company in modern times. They're not interested in borrowing twice what the company is worth to expand their manufacturing. They're run by a fairly old smart guy. They're interested in keeping the company afloat without running into debt and over-expansion.
>>
>>29504554
I've always wanted to know, as IDF do you consider the Tavor a step up from the M4/M16? And what's your opinion on the AK?
>>
>>29504582
Absolutely this. Kel Tech is a fantastic company that is playing the smart, long game. So many instant gratification faggots bitch about them. The company has consistently gotten better every year.

Well see what happens when the founder dies though. He is pretty old.

I do think that it's a step up, but not big enough to justify the logistical shift (which is expensive as hell).
In Israel's case, it was both the push for domestic-made rifle, and the fact that it fits most of our possible conflicts nowadays- which are urban ones.
It's heavier- which is I changed to the M16 near the end of my service (was at the "laxed out" stage, where I rather have a comfy stuff than practical ones), but the wight balance makes it lighter when in firing position and it becomes even more noticeable when needing to hold position for long time.
I also found it to be sturdier (physical structure) and be bit less prone to jamming (closer to AK design).

Opinion on the AK? Didn't like it. Don't even know why, but it felt awkward in my hands.
But than again, I only held it for few minutes when giving it to the war-spoils unit. Didn't even had the chance to shoot. Only had to be jelly of reservists that said that in their time they got to keep this stuff in their own units.
>>
>>29504946
that furniture is disgusting, but the rest of it is so nice looking.
>>
>>29504961
It's probably less prone to jamming because those M16s were at the end of their service life.
>>
>>29503912

A) can't afford it anyway
B) don't actually want it even if you could
C) "uh yeah uh my cousin has one of those it's shit lol"
>>
>>29505010
Not him and had limited experience with the Tavor etc, but ample experience with m-4, some with AK's. If he got an m-16 and not an m-4 then you're definitely in the right, but the m-4 I've seen were mostly in top shape and pretty new (though I can't say for their state in every unit).

I love mine, as others have sqid the ergos are amazing. I can put accurate groupings at 1-200 meters one armed. I dont get people complaining about the trigger, but my only other guns are a taurus and a nugget so I might be less picky based on that.

Everytime I have brought it to the range at least several people come over to check it out, which is neat. Its proven to be reliable and has a super easy break down and cleaning procedure. If you dont mind the price I think you will love it.
>>
>>29504025
They did the same thing with the Galil. They always ruin their guns.
>>
>>29503931
Not quite STANAG compatible, in that one model can so both. at least with the new AUGs, there are two separate models, the regular AUGA3M1 and the AUGA3M1 NATO. You have to buy one model, or the other.
