Wtf is this shit....
I this a gimick?
What is the price on this shit? shouldn't it be cheaper than copper plated ammo?

it's about the same currently. and it's been around for about a decade. smells funny, but works well enough.

They're charging more than copper plated because HERP LESS CLEANING DERP NONTOXIC PRIMER HURR HIGHER MUZZLE VELOCITY
I'm sticking to American Eagle FMJ.

SEVEN SIX TWO MILLIMETER, FULL SYNTHETIC JACKET
>>29498619
I'd lie to see a 5.56mm option for plinking.
I'll take any advantage I can get to get more milage out of my barrel.

>3000 FPS muzzle velocity
>implying polymer can resist as well as a bronze/gilding metal jacket
>paying more
>to not clean your gun as much
Cleaning your gun is half the fun. I use cheap dirty ammo and cleaning the gunk off everything is all the better

In factory ammo? or only as bare bullets for reload?
>>29498798
Foes it not? You'll just have lead and some of the polymer residue scrapping the barrel instead of copper, no?
>>29499041
The lead literally gets pieces cut off by hot propellant gas if it's not shielded by a more heat-resistant metal that seals the lead off from the powder. Not only does this make the bullet fly randomly and miss, but it leaves a bunch of lead in your barrel that has to be removed before firing jacketed bullets again.
Can the polymer coating withstand rifle-pressure gas? I don't know.

This.
During bird season I only shoot estate cases of dove shot and Winchester Xpert steel for ducks and geese.
It's pretty satisfying to outshoot my clients and buddies and get that nice boresnake puff&cloud of shit.
Then going out the next day and outs hooting the expensive ammo once again.
As far as handguns go, FMJ is so cheap I don't get why anyone would look to an alternative.
