Any advice on simple G19 additions?

I'd like to un-fuck the trigger and get some better-than-stock sights.
Maybe even a light if I can find the funds later on.

Trijicon was my first thought, so I'll look around at prices.
I've seen someone take out the rear sight, is the front just as easy?

Also, why a new spring?

3.5 pound trigger is the biggest one you should get. Followed by night sights.
>>
steel sights, take your pick of night sights or whatever floats your boat.

don't bother with dicking with the trigger, only fucking slack jawed faggots do this because they suck
>>
>>29483936
i believe it's a 3/16" nut, you will probably have to get a driver that will fit within the slide since there is not a lot of space in there.

Get an extended mag release and slide stop from vickers. You wont regret it. By far the best upgrades I have done to my 19. Also never get a three dot sight system with all the same color dots. Front sight should contrast.

3.5 is what I'm hearing the most, I'll go with that. Any recommendations on where to shop?
Also is that your Glock? I like those sights.

Since you got the Gen 4 there isn't that much I think should be changed other than the sights.
If the trigger bothers you that much then get the 3.5 disconnect but leave the springs themselves alone.
Get night sights of your choice. Trijicon, Meprolights, Ameriglo, Truglo, and Heinie are all good choices. I'm not a fan of XS Big Dots but you might like them.
Brownells is having a sale on Glock magazines right now. Idk how much of a deal they are compared to other stores but I still went ahead and picked some up.

Also the Gen 4s come with the Glock factory extended magazine release. I don't see the extended slide release being a critical upgrade. For one handed operation your sights should work just fine to work the slide off your belt, boot heel, table, etc.
I prefer to work the slide when reloading though.

dont buy Gen4 trash.

Now that you got your pre2010 Gen3 G19, go get:
>G17 smooth trigger
>Blue firing pin spring
>Maritime cups
>(-) connector bar
>NY1 Olive spring
>Extended slide release
>Extended mag release
>Grip plug
>Glock brand Trijicon Tall supressor sights, even if you dont have a threaded barrel. neon yellow up front, black on the back. Green/yellow for tritium color.
>Old non-LCI extractor along with the non-LCI spring bearing
>New 30724 ejector, ONLY if you get BTF more than once every 100 rds, not including bounceback off range plywood dividers.
>Glock GTL or light of your choice.
Glock brand Glock stuff only, except grip plug and tac-light.

its not an extended, its the "wide" LEO-only mag release. There was a reason it was LEO only before, and thats because its a piece of shit for anyone with normal sized hands. You will have your mag drop out on you at least once just from grabbing it as fast as you can, and its more than likely gonna happen under stress.

The Gen4 was literally made for women, lefty's and babby handed 'men' who limpwrist.
>>
>>29484295
I could've sworn that I read somewhere that they came with the extended on the Gen 4s. My G19 is a Gen 3 so I don't have personal experience with the Gen 4s.

>>
>>29484389
>Any real benefit to these?
some used to be made where they were like a ramp, so it helped with reloading. Nowdays, its just a plug. It keeps shit like lint and dead skin from getting inside the trigger sear pack. It also prevents water from draining somewhat, but really who gives a shit if you go underwater and still have some water in your trigger sear pack, itll work just fine.

Vickers makes one that has a built in push punch for disassembly, but its overpriced for what it is.
>>
>>29483871
There are sight manufactures that use Trijicon tritium inserts. Instead of getting the Trijicon HDs, You can save around $30 and get something just as good

>>
>>29484475
what size gloves do you wear? in "Mens" size....

also, go look up Glock rusting. Gen4 has had more improperly heattreated spings than all the other guns combined. Slides fall off by themselves, BTF galore, mags drop out accidentally if you dont grip the gun perfectly, and a lot of proprietary parts. ALL just so you can get "adjustable backstraps and reversible mag release": marketed for women, babby handed men, lefty's, and limpwristing weaklings. Gen 2 was literal perfection. Tool steel parts, real fuckin tennifer, noMIM shit. All they had to do was add a fuckin light rail to it....
>>
>>29484530
Grass is always greener on the other side. They still have a few G17 threaded out there online, I think the G19's have all but dried up.

The fact that you think the mag ever drops out accidentally makes every other one of the points you are trying to make invalid.

Sounds like what your mother told you about dinner plates is still embedded in your mind, eh? Im sure you walk with knives pinched between two fingers and not in a fist too, dont ya? get over it fagget:
>Gen4 ashit.
but what am I wasting my breath for? youre the shithead that buys a fixed blade knife for looking sleek and pretty over its functionality. Go try to poke something hard with those thin ass G10 scale grips. Your hand is gonna keep moving and slice your fingers right off.

best part is you didnt use the paracord hole to make a pommel, instead you braided it like you did your little sisters hair, lol.....

Maybe I'm just odd but I don't see the problem people have with a stock Glock trigger. I think it functions fine for a combat sidearm. Then again I think stock AR triggers are perfectly acceptable for a self defense carbine that you're not doing precision work at long range with.
