I picked up this M1A and I'm trying to figure out if all of these parts are original (minus the stock)
I thought a socom ii 16 is supposed to have a rail and synthetic stock, the guy I got this from claims to have purchased it like this. Anybody know what kind of stock this is?

I shot it today and the sights were pretty dead on. I had some trouble with a few of my old reloads, and one of the magazines it came with was fucked and wouldn't feed properly. Aside from that it's fun as fuck to shoot. I just don't understand why someone would take this out of the nice original stock and put it in this beat ass one.

trigger group is TRW - Thompson I think.
Bolt is commercial SA because its stamped as such, USGI didnt have manuf letters stamped into it iirc.
your feedramp has been dremeled into a single ramp and polished, or that barrel isnt timed right..... and I dont think a SOCOM16 will fit into a surplus stock correctly....

I guess those look about right, Id double check online though on google images, he may have made the chamber feedramp a bit larger, thereby giving less chamber support.
And dont shoot reloads in that gun. It needs a very specific burn rate powder, or you will bend the op rod. IMR4895 +-100 or something, idk exactly what it was off the top of my head.
