>>
there is no way that thing can take 9mm

Except for cost per unit. Unless they plan on releasing a $600 version.
>>
>>29480571
Fudds plz go home
>>
>>29480616

Price will go down with adoption and economies of scale
>>
>>29480561
I kinda want the CQC
>>
>>29480561
I would do 762 X 39.
My ar has the 223 covered.
22? yeah no.
308 could be cool.
I have an invite to next years shot show. If I go, I will try one and post for you guys.

Got one in 5.56 pre ordered since I got a scar17 for 308. I'm hoping they deliver in q2 this year like they have been saying. I want my space marine rifle.

With the wild assumption that the amount of sales will be significant and steady enough to warrant/demand DTi increase the production numbers by orders of magnitude.
>>
>19" barrel
>while being three inches longer than an AUG with a 20"
>>
>>29480561
-Can't be bought right now
-Has no set release date
-Cost 3-4+ times the amount for a barebones AR-15
-Has a shitty looking fore end

Not seeing it mate.
>>
>>29480561
No rapid adjustable LOP
Pistols are interchangeable, but with no other grips on the market.
Interchangeable ejection side might cause a kaboom to hit your face
Overly complicated ejector
Not even released yet
MFG has zero experience with producing/supporting semi autos

I see zero advantage
>>
>>29481207
hold on
i'm an actual retard
it's an inch shorter with an inch shorter barrel, so they tie. Why 19 I wonder though.
>>
>>29481178
I didn't take his assumption as being necessarily 'wild'. Regardless, I don't see DTi selling enough to even bring a EoS argument to the table. I have a hard time believing that a company that specializes in low number/ high cost sniper rifles is going to suddenly sell enough MDR's to warrant a cost decrease. There are simply too many competitors with established production capabilities to make MDR more than a peripheral gun. Are they even being considered for any foreign military or police force? Because with tiny australia adopting an LMT and France leaning away from bullpups, I don't see how this thing is going to sell well.
>>
>>29480561

It will scream BABY KILLER to the no guns even more than an ar does
>>
>>29480561
How can you say that? It literally just came out and the only testing is done by manufacturer so far.

Its not even been proven as a platform or shown to even function properly.
>>
>>29481178
MDR is better than AR15 in every way. Demand will be high, production will increase, price will go down. Tard.
>>
>>29481399
>they said the same thing about the ACR, THE SCAR, and the MCX
>>
>>29481338
Licensing is a thing. Desert Tech can let other companies produce their design for a fee, if demand outstrips their own production capabilities
>>
>>29481399
It hasnt even been tested let alone proven to be a functional rifle.

The M4/AR15/M16 has some 40 years of service and this thing has not been reviewed yet by anyone but the people who make it
>>
>>29481399
Nope, it'll stay above $1800.
>>
>>29481279
>No rapid adjustable LOP
And? That's not the purpose of an adjustable stock on most rifles. Unless it's a precision long range rifle, the point of an adjustable stock is to reduce the OAL. I'm not saying OP is right, and I wouldn't buy one for a decade or so until they get the issues ironed out, but still.
>>
>>29481388

Why? Are bbullpups more scary or something?
>>
>>29481417
Not going to happen.
>>
>wow it looks cooler than an AR15 so it must function better

>disregard the exactly 0 tests or reviews that have been done

Pretty disgusting how most of you couldnt give two fucks if the rifle actually could shoot more than 10 rounds without imploding.

As long as it looks cool I guess
>>
>>29481427
I'll be impressed if we can still buy scary black rifles a decade from now desu.
>>
>>29481431

Yes. The movement of the hi-cap clip further to the rear of the assault weapon brings it closer to the murderer's body, meaning that they can reload faster and kill more babies.
>>
>>29480561
>using Beretta style mags for the 9mm instead of Colt or Glock based mags
yeah no
>>
>>29481479
>not understanding that beretta mags are what the military has the widest supply of
>>
>>29480561
We all await Jim Bob's Boon County ++P++ catastrophic failure right on the cheek.
>>
>>29481464

this.
>>
>>29481500
Because Jim Bob is going to buy a fucking state of the art (for that price it'd better be) bullpup rifle. Get real.
>>
>>29481492

What, are they trying to sell this to the Army? Good luck.
>>
>>29481516
>doubting jim bob skills in term of fuckign up everything

never do that again
>>
>>29481399
with the notable exception being changing LOP, weapon modularity, established production and logistics systems, price point, and actually existing.
>>
Whats MSRP?
And whats the difference between the Echo and Compliant other than chamberings?
>>
>>29480561

Better at looking like an abortion, maybe.
>>
>>29481492
so how many 30round Beretta 92 mags does the army have?
>>
>>29481579
Pinned and bullet button

>>29481551
Hah, hey fair enough. Maybe his tapco'd SKS will sell for enough to let him buy one.
>>
Isn't it just a bullpup ACR?
>>
>>29481582
0

But why not have cross compatibility

Two weapons using same magazines vs one
>>
>>29481579
$2250 for the 308 and $1800 for the 556 if I remember correctly.
>>
>>29481598

>implying 30 round beretta mags will ever go in an M9 except when the armorer is fingerfucking it.
>implying the us military cares about spending a fuckton on mags, so long as they get to keep dem NATO 9mm savings.
>>
>>29481427
The purpose of a telescoping stock is adjustable LOP, storage, and different shooting styles (maybe). Go toss on LBE, a ruck, winter gear, you might want a more compact LOP after all that kit.

That's the MSBS, another gun that will probably be cheaper, more available, and come out before the MDR.
>>
>>29481399

Better in every way? it isn't even in the wild yet. A little early to break out the champagne there champ.
>>
>>29481464

Bullpup reloads are probally a little slower esp with gear and or body armor on.
>>
>>29481448

We must be reading different threads.
>>
>>29482286
Training and familiarity issue, nothing more.
>>
>>29480663
Lol no. It's ok though noguns. You will learn.
>>
>>29481280
Canada and Australia have 18.5" barrel length limits for certain classifications.
>>
I thought a 20in barrel was the sweet spot for 5.56, why a 19in barrel?
