My Bushnell finally took a shit. What should I replace it with?
>I didn't really like it, I just got a good deal on it and was in the market for an optic

Primary Arms Prism scope if you want a cheap ACOG style optic
You could also try the 1-6x optics that are getting popular like the Vortex Strike Eagle or PAPS1-6X

I second this. Half Dollar groupings at 200 to 300 yards yo.

Hoping for more recommendations on red dots to save weight, I made the mistake of buying a dissy upper with a heavy as fuck barrel, it's top heavy enough
aimpoint pro, or a vortex spark. the holosun offerings are very nice as well. all decently priced.
primary arms is good to, with exelent battery life from the ad-ds red dot.
vortex spark or aimpoint pro, with mbus flip ups in a absolute co witness config.

Can someone tell me why the Vortex Strike Eagle is $100 less than Leupold's 1-4x offering and a full $400 less than SWFA or Bushnell's 1-6x? What would I be missing out on for that money?
Red dot: Aimpoint PRO
Magnified: ACOG
Variable 1-4: ELCAN Spectre
Piss away money: Schmidt and Bender Short Dot

not much that i can think of

I guess what worries me is that Vortex's other 1-6x optic, the Razor HD, is nearly $1000 more. Something got cut.

china and better glass. you get what you pay for, but the glass is good enough and the warrantee is still great

What a deal

>Piss away money: ACOG, ELCAN
more accurate
ACOGs are too expensive for what you get, sure its a nice optic, but their cost is insane, same with the ELCAN
go get a Vortex

Fixed 4x ELCAN and a piggyback or offset is better imo. Even with 1x it's still glass, better to put in the effort for true unmagnified if you're going to bother.
