The difference was the stamped receiver. The akm was vastly lighter compared to the ak47. Other than that, they're almost the same rifle.

Not so much cringe, but I just got into an online argument about NFA items. The guy said you needed to have a Class 3 item to own them along with a bunch of other fuddlore/misinformation about NFA items.
I don't sperg out when people call a magazine a clip, a suppressor a silencer, or other things like so, but when they perpetuate fuddlore and misinformation I make an effort to inform them of how NFA items actually work. He got indignant as fuck and said the paperwork is the same as a class 3 license. It amazes me how people enjoy being ignorant. When I first came to /k/ I was in the same boat and thought you needed a "class 3 license" to own NFA items, but you guys all bitch-slapped that knowledge into my head fast enough.
