Talk about gun builds you are doing or are planning to do

Post your pps43's your parts kits AK's, your Suomis, your CZ 26's, etc

80% AR reciever builds not invited, you cucks

To those in the know, what is a cheap and easy kit to make? Things look so cheap, but then you realize that that the only in stock repair section / semi auto receiver is like $300

Plus making things semi auto is a bitch.

So what is a good beginners budget build?
>>
>>29470541
If you go with a screw build, AK builds can be done without much in the way of equipment.

Sumois (and other sub guns) are absolutely terrible for beginner builds. Too much stuff needs to be fucked with to get them working but more importantly to get them legal
>>

>>
>>29470456

I'd love to build a semi-auto Suomi, but I don't even know where to begin. How do you go about fixing the receiver or making it fire on a closed bolt in semi-auto? Is the barrel length an issue or do you have to file a form 1 for a SBR?
>>
>>29470716
It basically requires that you machine a new bolt. Thats the long and short of it.

As for the barrel, you either need to fill out the form, or weld an extension onto it
>>
>>29470952
That's not true

If you have a mill, it's pretty easy to make open bolts striker fired

You just have to make it so the reciever can accept the full auto bolt

OP, look at weaponeer and weaponsguild. Great places full of helpful people. Lots of SOTs on weaponsguild that post cool videos of theirs FA builds.
>>
>>29470952
>>29470952
welding an extension on the barrel is an awful idea. You buy a 16" barrel and a second shroud. Weld the shrouds together to cover the full rifle barrel.
>>
>>29471158
If you want to stick a random barrel onto it sure knock yourself out. But there are no original barrels that are 16" afaik
>>
>>29471704
No, but there are new production barrels made to go in those guns. There is a decent pool of companies selling compliance parts to build these smg parts kits.

Way to give advice without knowing what you are talking about.

It takes a whole fucking day to get anything posted.
>>
>>29472520
Lots of relevant info though. Some of the self contained ar fcg setups are pretty smart.

Unrelated to topic, I'm watching a macgyver episode where he is telling a cop someone was shooting at him. The dialog was dumb:
cop - I found that guys car up the road, i sure didn't see any bullet holes in it
mg - it was a shotgun
cop - what are you, some kindof weapons expert?
mg - IT WAS A SHOTGUN

lol what kindof moron in the hick towns macgyver visits can't tell the difference between a rifle and a shotgun being shot at them.
>>
>>29471978
Why the smaller bolt diameter? What does that entail exactly anyway

Wouldn't it be easier to have a denial pin or an internal rail?
>>
>>29472593
Probably just simpler for them to make then installing pins or a bar
They also sell a reduced bolt

>>
>>29473803
$250?
Jeez

Also in your opinion in the cz 26 easier or harder to make legally semi auto than a pps43? I really can't decide on which one to go with first

The cz doesn't look so goofy with a 16" barrel, so I might just go with it just because
>>
>>29473859
Also, you own a few uzi's right?

Would you say they are "easy?"

I don't really know how to weld but I could learn.

Also, would you reccomend a rifle or pistol for a first attempt?
>>
>>29473884
I really don't know the law for ca but it seems common. It's probably just places don't want to risk shipping there

>>29473893
Depends how much you do yourself

How're you at welding?

On the cz you'll need a semi bolt from Greg Clark or this place

Easy for me at least, one rivet (that could be welded) a little fitting and an easy weld.

Get this and you can't screw it up (I didn't use one)

http://cajuncountryarms.com/t/uzi

http://globalmachineandtool.com

RTG parts has kits that include all the little parts (most places leave out the feedramp or ejector parts

The expensive part is the bolt
>>
>>29473965
Id gladly do a lot of the work myself, but things are starting to look expensive either way

Stupid me, I was thinking that these things wouldn't need more than $200 of parts on top of the kit

Take the cz, it shouldn't be more than a new barrel and a reaper section, should it? Then all you have to do is put in a denial bar and some fugly fcg converting, and some welding

Right? But apparently there are restrictions on the full auto feed lips or some nonsense...... It's a mess

Build parties are 100% fine

only if there are no building of firearms.

So, let's say you want to do a ar lower build party. Everyone uses a drill to make your %80 an %81 at home before the party. That way you create the firearm. At the party you just 'modify' it.

Right?
