Britfag here, is there any way I can buy a balisong online? I've seen dodgy websites which ship them in parts but the majority of them are a huge rip-off when it comes to prices.

In the UK you can't carry knives (that aren't non-locking and under 3 inch blade) unless you have a "good reason", so if you were on the way home from the store or going hunting then yeah/ There is no "good reason" to carry a balisong (fucking hurts to type that) in the eyes of the law.
Just get a friend in the US to ship you one.
Buy a high quality practise one and replace the "blade" with a real blade
