Two questions for things on this link:
-Are the Beretta 92S's on here any good? Good gun in general?
-they have 4 Polish P-64's listed, which one would be the one too get?

Also damn did the price of Star Model Super B's go up, I remember Aim surplus just had some for 209.
>>
>>29452250
Nobody who bought them for $300 seems to have any problems with them at all. My only hangup is that weird mag catch.
>>
>>29452250
The beretta is good but i would recommend aftermarket grips, sights, swapping the polymer guide rod with a steel one. Dont know about the p 64.

Is it possible to build other models of guns from ordering parts, like the tavor for instance, or is it just a thing with the AR since it's so popular?
>>
>>29452509
Your options for home-brew guns are kind of limited to AK's, FAL's, AR's, G3's, and a handful of subguns that come here as parts kits. Tavors are made exclusively by IMI, so good luck finding a reciever to mount the parts in.

AR is popular because it's reached a point at which you can make it do just about anything. One lower and three uppers can give you a varmit gun, an Appleseed rifle, and an SBR all in one package--and there's a lot more you can do with them. The nice thing about AR's are that they pretty much screw together like legos, which means anyone can build one with about $65 in Harbor Frieght tools. All the other guns I mentioned require some machining knowledge, as well as much more expensive tools (the press for an AK, for example, starts at about $300 for a crappy model). BUT... it's way more rewarding when you show up to the range with a Vz26 you made by hand, than it is being one of about 12 people with their super custom AR that basically just says "Hey, look at how much money I can spend."

I'm not sure if you were looking for someone to preach, but there you go.
>>
>>29452509
If you can find all the parts for sale I don't see why not.

Not sure where you're going to find the bigger tavor parts though.
>>
>>29452509
You can do it for AKs, 1911s, and now Glocks, but it's pretty fucking rare outside of the gun's native country.

So I bought a barreled receiver for an Ishapore 2A1. The receiver itself will be serviceable with some rust removal and perhaps a refinishing where the bluing is gone, but the barrel is more pitted than the Korean DMZ.

Should I just find another surplus barrel? Or would it be worthwhile to get a new manufacture barrel made specifically for commercial .308? While I'm at it, I could get it chrome lined and threaded, right?

Pic related, but isn't a picture of the one that I purchased.

uh no anon, that is a 1911 on the right, with the slide release on the wrong side mind you.

The one on the left looks like an aborted cousin of that double 1911..thing with 2 barrels, hammers, and triggers and shit. Just a wide ass fantasy 1911 is my guess.
>>
>>29452760
I didn't view the larger image when I saved it, looked a little shot for a 1911 and know there are a few Makarov's in the movie because other then seeing it it's a Russian film. It was my mistake.
>>
>>29452743

Judging from the high bore axis, I'd assume its a Sig 226 or 229 that the prop master spazzed out on.
>>
>>29452274
i heard they were pretty beat to hell so i got a mak instead
>>
>>29452812
No decocker so I'd guess a 5906
>>
my bulgy mak has a bit of play left to right with the trigger. i'd say it can wiggle like 3-5mm left to right. is that normal?
>>
>>29452743
>left facing ejection ports
>>
The 92 is the better gun. The P64 is apparently a decent little carry piece with some work, though.
>>
>>29452250
Looking at getting a USP. What caliber should I get one in?

The grip and safety looks like a M1911, the slide looks like a Glock; but its got a hammer, the bore axis makes it look like a Sig 226 or 229.

I think its a photoshop franken composite gun.
>>
>>29452885
The USP45 is the best USP
>>
>>29452880
ive heard that the trade in 92s are beat to shit though. ymmv
>>
>>29452743
both are airsoft 1911s but the left ones a really shitty replica
>>
>>29452947
Why should I get one in .45? Does it feel better than ones in 9mm and .40?
>>
>>29452997
They are beat, scratches, minor rust etc is to be expected. But as far as function goes I'd trust my life to 92s picked out of the "hat" then any other surplus pistol available on the market right now.
>>
>>29453240
I forgot too ask, what's the different between the 92s and the 92fs?
>>
>>29453261

>>
>>29452901
It looks a hair but like one of those old stainless Smith and Wesson pistols, but at the same time it might be a Frankenstein gun or a really obscure gun, the film takes place in Russia.

OP why did you format the QTDDTOT title all retarded?

I'm considering an inexpensive optic for my AR build. Saw Vortex and Primary Arms have relatively cheap magnified optics. Are they any good? Should I bother, or just wait and save my money? Looking at this Primary Arms 3x right now. At $260 seems like a good deal, but I've heard so many bad things about cheap optics, so I'm hesitant.

Pls advise
>>
>>29453261
Between the 92s and 92fs, off the top of my head, I think only thing is the heel mag release on the 92s. There might be an extra safety on the fs concerning the slide not shooting off into your face if you shoot too many +p rounds but I can't remember for sure. That shouldn't even be an issue in the first place, it's more of a meme
>>
>>29453029
The USP9 and USP40 are pretty much bomb proof. There have been endurance tests with over 20000 round of ammunition fired through individual pistols.

Then the USP45 was released a few years later, and it was a beefed up version of the USP40.
In other words, the thing is extra bomb proof
>>
>>29452997
The 92s still left from that batch may well be beat to shit, however I got one from psa last year from the same set of trade-ins for $301 after shipping and transfer that was fucking immaculate. I put more wear on it in the first few days than it came with.
It is very much luck of the draw, though all of the issues I read about were cosmetic and not related to the function.

>>29452250
>Good gun in general?
It is near the top of the list of full size 9mm handguns you should consider first if looking for a full size 9mm handgun. If the mag release doesn't trigger your autism and you are willing to roll the dice on the finish of the gun you will not be disappointed with that price.

I have a Strikefire and I dig it, so I got a magnifier to go along with it and I'm even happier now. No personal experience with the primary arms but if you want a decent 3x optic the Spitfire Prism from Vortex is definitely solid and they have great warranty/customer service
>>
so i've noticed this (mostly) optics company going by the name "osprey global".
they have everything from rails, to bipods to acogs.
anyone dealt with them/their shit?
I don't trust them since they seem new and with prices so low, but i'm not sure.
>>
>>29452478
Anon this is an S model 92 it was made before they swapped to poly parts.
>>
>>29453307
Different poster... based upon my searching, if someone offered me a USP 45 Compact Tactical for $700, I'd be a fool not to purchase it. Correct?
>>
>>29453882
Not really. USPs sell for 650-750ish used all the time. There's so many out there with so few taken out of service that they are much cheaper when used.
>>
>>29453944

From what I've seen, the tactical variants command a higher price usually
$700 is definitely a fair price, it isn't some kind of steal
That said I'm no expert, and this is 4chan; take everything you read here with a grain of salt

damn, as a California poorfag, all those p64's and tokarev's look appealing. Is there an obvious winner between the p64, cz50 and tokarev?

Looking for my first handfun in a .45 caliber. I don't want to spend too much over $500

Any recommendations

I have an Aimpoint Micro T2 on my Tavor. Very happy with it and yada yada yada. Lately I've been itching fro some magnification. Anyone here have any experience with Aimpoint 3x magnifier? I've been thinking of getting it with a swivel LaRue mount since I have LaRue T660 mount and this would cowitness perfectly

I'd say scorpion, a lot neater and cheaper to feed
