Are there any left side charging handled rifle in 5.56/.223? (Or .308 for that matter)

It's seems like my only options are
>fnc/ fn fal
>acr
>cz bren 805
> scar 16/17
>ptr 91

I prefer the smaller calibers for cost, plinking, supressor use and varmint hunting.

Looking for assistance cause I want to break away from the ar market (also fell in love with the ak5c - a gun I know I'll never have)
>>
>>29420196
Good luck finding an FNC.
>>
>>29420196
You know they make side charging handle AR uppers right?

If only FN or DSA Pulled thier heads outta thier asses and saw such a lucrative market.
>>
Get an FNC and get AK5 furniture for it off gunbroker. Its rare and will be priced accordingly, but its around.

Reccomend the sig 556. Older models are amazing.

sig 556 comes to mind, or just get a side charging AR upper

But then he would have to deal with Robinson Armament and literally nobody has ever had a good experience with them.

Ive already found multiple ones - the problem is the price...

Trying to get away from the ar market. Also I hear those uppers are relatively shite. Why what specific upper were you thinking about, or were you just saying that in general?

If you've got 2-3k, there is the AUG, I'm pretty sure the Tavor is on the left side too. Then again those are bullpup, don't know how you feel about that.

I like bullpup alot desu, never owned one, shot a few - enjoyed it quite some bit. My only issue is the price that companies feel they can charge for them. They are good but not rape me with a flail for my snowflake spess gun good.

Really really looking forward to the desert tech mdr and the kel tech rdb (if kel tec can ever get thier production beyond 10 rifles a quarter)

What about the acr, I know shrub master and Remington have the contract. But after the botched release a few years back I don't hear anyone say anything about them (except for mods to put the acr stock on fals and scars)
>>
>>29420196
The FNC has a charging handle on the RIGHT side of the rifle.
>>
>>29420903
You are absolutely correct, my bad. Just really kinda fell in love with the ak5c (which is a modernized fnc)
>>
>>29420373
They most definitely haven't. QC is as shitty as ever and will remain so as long as Ron Cohen is CEO.
>>
>>29420881
You probably haven't heard much about them because people aren't buying them. The price point is too high, the modular features promised never showed up, no military adopted them, and as a result I've heard next to nothing about reliability be it positive or negative. The quick change barrel system turned out pretty bad as well, removing and reseating the same barrel would require you to rezero. Any magazines without an overinsertion stop inserted on an open bolt would cause a round to pop out of the magazine.

If you wan't a cheap, reliable, and modular 5.56 rifle, you get an AR-15. If you want high speed low drag OPERATOR rifle with a price point to match, you get the SCAR. It's a rifle without a niche that only got as popular as it did because Magpul and video games.

>>29420697
Tavor is around 1800 amerikan and shoots great.
Bushmaster is kill last I heard. Could be wrong.

>>29421037
The Remington ACR got a pretty badass side-pop grenade launcher.

I think that thing is cooler than the actual ACR itself.

Tavor
>>
>>29420318
>Haven't heard anything about this. Details?
Well the main differences from the tavor that's on the market now, and the X95 are:
>6.2" shorter
>Magazine release is now a button instead of an ak-style latch
>Can be quickly adapted to fire 9mm, 5.45x39, .300memeout
>Can be integrally suppressed
>Charging handle is farther back
>Still ambidextrous
The MSRP is about $2k, which is AUG A3 M1 money, arguably a god-tier bullpup. The X95 mostly fixes what a lot of people complain about with tavors.
>>
>>29420318
>>29420373
I've fired over 7000 rounds through my 556XI in the three plus years I have had it without any issues related to the rifle. It doesn't like Betamags or Surefire coffin mags.

>>29420196
Beretta ARX100 is ambidextrous.
>>
>>29420318
What is that

Isn't the charging handle on an AR ambidextrous by nature?

Like.....isn't that the whole point of it being on the back and being t-shaped?

Forgot to mention cetme. C is spotty, but can be had for as low as 400. Chambered in 308, similar as hell to the g3

Such a damn shame, I remeber way back when it was the Masada. What a travesty to see how it turned out. If the sales are really that bad. The copy rights revert back to magpul who may try to fix it. But idk wtf the company will do since Haley and Costa left.

I have both an acr and a tavor. In my personal opinion the tavor is my favorite 556 rifle I own. I know someone will comment about it being shitty but it works and it feels good. Points quickly balances extremely, feels a lot lighter than it is, well controls are quick and intuitive. Never had any kind of malfunction. I can't wait to get the x95. The acr is a really nice rifle shots well haven't had a malfunction either. It's a good rifle in concept and it's nice to shoot. Only issue is all the empty promises that came with it. I have the enhanced version and I really want the basic handguard. If you can find one cheap enough it is a very good ar alternative.
>>
>>29424676
Not sure what the hell that is in the gig, and yeah, ptr's are solid and upgraded cetme's. Cetme's pre-Massachusetts( I can't remember if it was Massachusetts to Georgia or Georgia to Massachusetts), but after the factory move, quality control of cetme went to piss. Most on the market now are okay.

I use that thing every day. It's actually really bad. Jams a lot, and is heavy as shit for beeing 556.

It looks nice I guess.

its heavy yes but i rarely got jams.

>did you use live ammo, only time that i got a jam was with blanks
>>
>>29425660
It jams all the time with blanks. And yes, we use live ammunition, and it still jams sometimes. It might not be as often as with blanks but it still jams a lot compared to other rifles.

I've heard it's heavy but not that it jams alot.
>>29425342
Seems like I need to take a harder look at the x95. Would love to see one in a 16 or 18 inch configuration ( I've always shot distance and not 3 gun type settings)

It seems that the acr is full of empty promises and loose barrels.
>>
>>29420196
The AK5C (your picture) has a right side charging handle. Good fucking luck changing it too, kek
>>

Standard issue safariland holster m8, why the h8 (not that guy)

>>29425927
No it doesn't. They do however get worn out like any rifle does, and if its being handled by a pussy reservist who doesn't know how to go to the logistic bros and change it for another, it can jam.
>>
That's a good amount of options why are you bitching? Ahh yes, you're a broke dick cheap fag.

I love mine. I shot pretty often and it goes with me every time. I will probably be selling by acr to help fund the x95 when I can get a hold of one. There are aftermarket triggers out there. I have shooting sights tav-d trigger in mine. I highly recommend it. The stock trigger is fine just heavy.
