Why isn't there an FNX 9 tactical?
>>
>>29417444
Because it's a terrible handgun. The only reason the .45 exists was to try and win a contract.
>>
>>29417464
Have you ever shot one? They're definitely not terrible.
>>
Can you imagine the capacity?
>>
>>29418353
Yes, 17. The FNX 9 already exists.
>>
There is no demand.
>>
>>29417444
because fn is like h&k, they hate you and you suck.

seriously, i love the fns-9 and fnx45 tac but they do so much weird shit with their guns that it's like they want to piss you off.

for example, the fnp45 was shit and they fixed it by making the fnx 45, also the fns9 and fnx9 can't share mags.
>>
>>29418363

If it can fit 15 rounds of 45,/why notnmany more 9mm
>>
>>29417444
Good question.

I'd like one that's a tactical
>>
>>29417444
Supressors are just going legal in my state and I am having trouble resisting this combo. The only thing that helps is that it costs a fucking fortune
>>
>>29418588
They're already doublestack.

The new FN handgun sights all fit each other, so I added high sights for the 45 on my FNS9 and have no problem with impact and point of aim. Also firedragon makes threaded barrels, and if you really wanted to you could get the slide cut for a mini red dot. I take the trigger stock FNS over a stock M&P PRO core.
>>
because the only fnx's that people actually buy are 45Tac's. Maybe if the 9 had the 45 frame and held 20 or something, it would be different.

Hell, my Mecgar Beretta mags hold more than the fnx9, and the 92 actually looks good to boot.
>>
>9mm
>Tactical
>>
>>29418551
the regular fnp 9s and 40s were shit. many of the improvements put into the FNX were first put into the FNP 45.
>>
>>29418551

As someone who works with mags daily, I agree that the mag noncompatibility issue is pretty bad. They have goofy followers too. At least their mags aren't as bad to work with as Beretta or as numerous as CZ.
>>
>>29418363
The Tac .45 held more ammo
>>
>>29417444
THAT is an excellent question.
>>
>>29421036
The tac 45 holds 15, bruh.
>>
>>29417464
Bull-fucking-shit. I own more than 40 handguns and my FNP-45 Tactical is my absolute favorite. It's a great handgun.
>>
>>29421068
>I own more than 40 handguns
No you don't.
>>
>>29418551
>the fnp45 was shit
Wrong. The FNP is better than the FNX...I owned both and so did my friend. We both were amazed, but agree the early model was superior.
>>
>>29421051
Yeah, when the FNP came out it only held 14, but the Tac version held 15. Bruh.
>>
>>29421162
Which is, surprisingly, not the same number as 17.
>>
>>29421073
Standby nigger.
>>
>>29421169
WTF does that have to do with anything? My point was that maybe the Tac version of the 9mm would have higher capacity.
>>
>>29421315
And, unless they changed the entire frame or made the mags not flush, it wouldn't.

How many do you have if you subtract all the revolvers and anything manufactured before 1980?

Holy shit anon. I don't think I've been this jealous of anyone in my life .
>>
I feel like I'm in the right thread to ask an off-topic question. How do I into suppressor trust tomfoolery?
>>
>>29421349

And subtract the 1911s too.
>>
>>29421337
>dat leet get

also is that a p220 combat?
>>
>>29421356

Bring a bull to a clearing in a swamp, sacrifice it by driving a bayonet into its throat, while chanting Ave Nex Alea, Ave Nex Alea, Ave Nex Alea, (always in multiples of three, keep chanting until the bull is dead). End with "The murdercube is god, and John Moses Browning is his prophet".

Your paperwork will take two to eight weeks to process, then you're good to go.
>>
>>29421344
Sorry, I don't get rid of guns...not even for blowjobs. I might consider giving you some cash so you could buy your own, but I get blown pretty regularly. I appreciate the offer though.
>>
>>29421349
>>29421357
I'm assuming you're trying to make some sort of (irrelevant) point here, but I'll play along...fast count on guns made after 1980 and no 1911's = 28.
>>
>>29417444
I can't imagine there's much demand for suppressed 9mm.
>>29421337
That anon got btfo.

Nigga what.
>>
>>29421356
Easy dude. Google trust lawyers for your area, ask someone at an LGS you trust, or find someone else that has one and get their advice...mine only took about a week and I think it cost somewhere between $150 - $200
>>
>>29421403
Yes, FDE 220 combat...I run it and my FNP-45 with an Osprey.
>>
>>29421477
Seems to me to be a compromise round. .22 gets used when people prioritize absolute quiet, 45 when people value subsonic ballistic performance.
9 is just sort of there.
>>
>>29421458

The irreverent point is that I can easily think of 28 guns that aren't revolvers, pre 1980, or 1911s that are objectively worse than an FNP-45 Tactical. Just because it's your favorite gun doesn't mean it's any good, it just means you have a bunch of shit guns (not dollar wise, but in an oper8ional sense).

I could have 99 Hi Points and a SD9VE with the S&W as my favorite gun, but that doesn't mean it's actually any good.
>>
>>29421506
Standard 147gr 9mm is not compromised in any way shape or form.
>>
>>29421511

Subsonic 9mm a shit.

You're hilarious...I knew you were trying to salvage some sort of credibility. Does it look like I have a safe full of Hi Points? I know it's subjective, but what gun do you own that you think is better? I'd also like to add that in addition to guns I own, I have many friends who also collect...if I had ever fired a handgun that I thought was nicer than my FNP I most certainly would have purchased it.
>>
>>29421510
>get rekt

I was just thinking this the other day. I'm looking for a large capacity, hammer fired, suppressor ready, "tactical" 9mm. I would jump on an 18+1 FNX 9 Tactical in a heartbeat.

I'm considering this right now:

http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-p-09-urban-grey-suppressor-ready/

Too bad it is fucking ugly as sin. 21+1 capacity though.
>>
>>29421337

Career, inherited collection or trust fund?

Haha...I saw you post that the other day. Here's mine (sorry for the shitty pic). Is it worth having both? Uh...hello...two guns are better than one.

Seriously, I love my 220...and at the range people have commented on how quit is is supressed, but I personally give the edge to my FNP. I like the raised sights before I put the RMR on it, I like that it came ready to mount an optic, I like the higher capacity (8/10 vs 15 is tough to beat), it seems to be less choosy about ammo, and I generally feel I am more accurate with it and have been since the first time I ever shot it. Now I do like the trigger, but I think I would give a slight edge to the Sig in that category and the thinner grip is a bit more comfortable, but I don't feel the FNP is too large.

To answer you question...No, other than the capacity and the mount (which you can fix) there is nothing the FN does that the Sig doesn't. Both are fucking sweet though.
>>
>>29421621
Wow...21 rd mag. That kinda makes up for the ugly.
>>
>>29421663
Ha! I've never inherited shit...my parents were fucking hippies. I've been collecting for quite a while. I'm fortunate that my wife and I have been able to reap the benefits of hard work and are able to make a decent living.
>>
>>29421735
Right? And if you're okay with black you can get it from Impact Guns for $570

https://www.impactguns.com/cz-p09-40sw-45in-barrel-15-rd-mag-806703916408.aspx

These come with the 19 round flush fit magazine, but I'm sure you can buy the 21 round magazines separate.

It is ugly, but it looks like it fits the bill for a full size, suppressor ready, high capacity, "tactical" 9mm.
>>
>>29421714
well, its not that dont buy a gun over a fn, i just buy something else lol. the rmr is where it gets me. i can live with 8 rounds but cutting my p220 and then not liking an optic is where i get nervous. btw were you the one that commented saying you had the exact same setup?
>>
>>29421778
Yeah, that was me, but I was on my iPad so I didn't have the pic to post.

I'll be honest, I love FN and Sig...I have several of both (6 FN's & 5 Sig's) and you can't go wrong either way. My 226 is actually my second favorite handgun. I hear you on not wanting to cut your frame...I wouldn't want to either.
>>
>>29421769
Dude, I might seriously have to get that...
>>
>>29421861
i think the p226 might be my next handgun. i love my buddies p226 and i have a octane 9 on the way so that with a kpos should be pretty fun range toy
>>
>>29421918
Dude...we have very much the same taste in guns. I just bought an Octane 9 two weeks ago. I'm planning on getting a threaded barrel for my G17, but I'm mainly going to run it on my MPX and my Beretta Cx4 Storm.

If you like that 220 then I can't imagine you wouldn't love the 226.

Later anon, I need to get some sleep.
>>
>>29422010
sweet dreams anon. if you're ever in SC we'll go shooting
>>
>>29417477
I shot one and it had all the ergonomics of a fucking cheesegrater and shot like shit. The CZ-75 I shot the same day was better in just about every single way. To be fair, it was cold as hell that day, which I think is what made the FNX-45 so unpleasant to shoot. I regularly shoot an SP101 with the big kid loads and I shoot my pistol grip 12 gauge 1 handed occasionally, so it's not me being a pussy or anything. The FNX just feels like cheap shit.
>>
>>29422338
I personally like the knurling my FNX-45 has.

Only thing I don't like about my pistol is the mag release sticks hard. I've played with other Fnx's and their mag release was really nice compared to mine. Mine you need to push super hard on to release. Then it just stays in that open position. To put another mag in you need to push the mag all the way up then push the other side of the mag release button so it unsticks and goes into place.
