I own a cap like that, but I cut the front velcro off because I didn't like the way that patches sat on it and I felt retarded whether there was a patch on it or not. The patches never curved with my head and I felt like I had a billboard stapled to my hat. I have a Kryptek typhoon cap that I wear now. I'm not a big fan of the pattern, but its damned comfy.

Though often it can be a first warning cue that the person wearing it desperately wants you to think they were Spesul Forces; it's not a 100% correlation, but much like 550 bracelets or wearing issued boots in civilian clothing, it's not a good indicator on the "not autistic" scale. I'll bet that fewer than 1% of these hats have had IR tabs legit strapped to the top.

I've got the SKD and a TruSpec. Like them both. Both made in USA.
SKD is nicer. Like the adjustable elastic back. Kinda wish the back loop wasn't for a full sized patch.
The TruSpec is newer so I may like it more once I get it broke in. Standard Velcro adjustment. Back loop is sized for name tape sized patches.
Handled a "fitted" Condor. Nicer than I expected but the logo on the loop is atrocious.
