I think you'd be better off with a Taurus Curve, or better yet a Glock 43, but can understand the appeal of this. It'd also be better if it was chambered in .357 magnum instead of .38spc.
Some women want to conceal carry without actually having a gun. This is perfect for that. I have to question how quickly it can go from being folded up to having the handle down and ready to fire.
I enjoy all the butthurt the concept is causing, but in reality you'd be better off with a regular 380 derringer.

I think if they wanted to make a gun that's really flat, they should have just used something like 5.7FN, 4.6HK, .327 Magnum or .25NAA, and just made it a normal clip using pistol.
I somehow managed to get into a argument with an extended family member about this today. They were convinced it's going to make the world a more dangerous place and nignogs are going to get the drop on someone with these now that they're going to saturate the market somehow.

What's the point of a gun that doesn't look like a gun? It's clearly not convincing enough to work if you're actually searched, and nobody is going to stand there and just let you point it at them because it kinda looks like a cell phone. For that size you could easily get a compact semi-auto and have a couple of shots at your disposal.

There's only two points to this gun
1.) Milk cash out of mall ninjas that think they're James Bond and gun nuts who think they're being stealthy by concealing a shitty, probably failure prone, gun that looks like a "regular every day item" even though they're better off just concealing any pocket pistol.
2.) Creating airtime for news scare-stories about the newest gun on the market that looks like a Cell phone and how it may be in YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL. Then this also feeds back into 1. where the gun nuts will want to buy them up.

Only if it can FIRE while it looks like something else. You have to unfold the grip to fire. At that point it looks like a firearm, therefore it's not an AOW. At least under BATFE logic.

Pen guns that look like a pen are an AOW. There is a pen gun that has to be folded into an angle so it has something of a "grip" and the trigger pops down. That one isn't an AOW since you have to spend a moment folding it into a more gun-like shape before it can fire.

My opinion on the gun is that it is what happens when you let the startup kiddies into the arms biz. We're gonna see more and more of this: solutions to concealed carry by people who don't understand the reasons for carrying. I forget the legalese term, but essentially "a firearm that's disguised as a thing that's not a firearm and can be fired in the disguised state " = NFA. Similar situations exist for most of those pen guns and things like that.
It would become legal if it didn't have the trigger cutout, by the way, just like that one pen gun that Forgotten Weapons had a while back was legal because you had to fold it into a gun shape before it could fire.

It's not an AOW because it can't fire in it's disguised state. Same reason that pen isn't an AOW, it can't fire unless you bend the pen into firing position. It has nothing to do with a trigger guard. dipshit.
What's funny is my job allows concealed carry of guns but not cell phones on the premises.

that is interely for the BATFE to decide. If i remember right, the pen gun's "technicality" was that folding it out made a "grip", which a phone shaped thing with a hole in the middle wouldn't have.
