That's a very specific color scheme you have there. I'm assuming you have a particular terrain in which you're planning on using it. Otherwise you might want to consider adding some areas of a darker shade/color mixed in as well, especially on the top surfaces as counter-shading. But it looks nice.
On mine I went with a base coat of OD green to begin with. I wasn't too picky, I just wanted SOME kind of earth tone on everything to subdue the "black hole" effect which draws the eyw when you have a black rifle out in nature, where you rarely find truly black items.
Choosing the color was a matter of convenience for me. The guys in the vehicle shop at the motor pool were getting ready to do a bunch of touchup paint on some vehicles that had the woodland camo scheme. I removed the action from the stock, masked everything off and when they got set up to spray the vehicles with olive drab CARC they were nice enough to spray my rifle and stock at the same time. (A six-pack of beer sometimes goes a long way.)
After that I just add some splotches of other colors on top of it, to suit the terrain as needed. That paint they use on US military vehicles has proven to be an incredibly durable coating. Not that I'm worried about it getting scratched up, but it's been around 20 years and there are only a few high spots where it's rubbed or scratched off enough for the black underneath to be visible.
I guess that coating is a nasty carcinogen so they have to follow a bunch of protective procedures when spraying the stuff, but once it's in dry and in place it's not an issue. Unless I guess you're taking a knife to scratch it off and inhale it like it's a line of coke, or something equally stupid.

I typically use rustoleum, the for plastic one, and it never lasts real long. So if you like it, re coat it. If you don't brake parts cleaner basically rinses it off

I'm debating on whether to repaint my AK semi-gloss black with Aluma-Hyde but I've been told that I should sand blast it, parkerize it, and then paint it. Sand blasting and Aluma-Hyde isn't a problem, but getting the set up and plugs and everything I'd need to parkerize it seems like more money and trouble than it's worth.
