What's the best way to make a revolver or a pistol untraceable?

Can the gun still be traced even if I file all of the serial numbers on the exterior?

What you file off tends to be superficial, but due to the way most serial numbers are made, you can still usually identify the serial number when analyzed in a lab. Even if you can't see anything on the outside.

Destruction of the gun after being used. Anything else is just Hollywood tier shit.

I don't care about the Taurus 85 though.

I won't get into acquiring one, but don't be a dip that buys one at the shop then uses it. Especially if you live in a state where it's registered to you and you have to submit a fired casing to local law enforcement.

Remove any serials or identifying marks.

Purchase the ammo secondhand from someone online, even hide your identity while contacting them, including if you have to contact them via phone to meet up.

Load with untouched ammo, gloved hands. Watch for any sort of prints, oils, hair or skin getting into any parts while cleaning/loading.

You can opt to ditch it at the scene, this ensures you're not caught with it on your person after commission of the crime.

You can keep it on you, then destroy it and hide different destroyed parts in separate locations.

You can actually keep it too, but you must replace the extractor and barrel, or shoot out the barrel and run a metal barrel brush through it several hundred times to change the identifying grain of the barrel and chamber, and brush the extractor and bolt face well to mess up the grain.

Keep the guns bro. Don't be a cuck. Just lube them up and store them away in the floor of the house or some shit
>>
>>29399378
Also wash yourself after firing, if you get picked up immediately and there are traces of gunpowder on your person or clothes you're fucked.

Considering all of this, your best bet is not fucking using a gun. You're so much more likely to get caught. A knife leaves a lot of blood on you and evidence as well. Even bare hands can leave identifying marks, and they can make marks/leave DNA on you as well in the struggle. Blunt objects are the most difficult to trace back to you if destroyed/ditched well enough. You also better not have your phone on you, or drive your own car to the location (those traffic cameras are there to track your plates).

I'm not even telling you the half of it, that's just what's commonly known. Don't kill anyone and expect to get away with it these days. Technology has advanced so much it would be difficult NOT to find you.
>>
>What's the best way to make a revolver or a pistol untraceable?
Build it yourself out of ice, then once you've used it, melt it with thermite.

They can still recover a serial number that's has been tried to be filled off if no deep enough. The serial number will be the last of my concern 1st is removing rifling from barrel and picking up firing pin unless you wanna keep switching them
Think of it this way
>your glock may look like exactly like every other glock out their
>but microscopically its unique
>>
>>29399420
>Mr anon there were traces of melted steel and composite materials on your property/at X location, along with traces of thermite
>we also found thermite/materials/residue at your home
>explain.

That would be too obvious. You have to think thoroughly. There's no way to leave 0 evidence, but you just have to consider what's able to be admissible in the court of law. For example, firing the weapon can leave traces of the lubricant used to clean the weapon all over the place (it helps to run it dry). You may have ditched the weapon, but you still have that container of lubricant. They find it upon searching your residence and chemically test it to discover it came from the same container. However, try explaining to a jury how that works, it's likely not admissible.

Throwing off investigators is also a good route. Best I can think of is using an untraceable gun and ditching it at some black guy the person knew's house.

I got a P228 and a Taurus 85. Tell me about firearm uniqueness.

I used LWC on the 85 and a JHP +P on the P228.

If I use different ammo then will it match?
>>

>Don't kill anyone and expect to get away with it these days.
It's actually still fairly difficult to get caught if you're not retarded, depending on location of course. I wouldn't expect to get away with it somewhere like LA or NYC, but in a rural area where they'd have to call investigators from hours away, the odds are much better.

In my home town, there's an average of 1 murder every couple years, and the only ones that get solved are the ones where the murder bragged about it to their "friends."
It's quite sad actually

I got at least 34 hours at least before they have a clue of what's going on. I just can't pack heat to the airport.

What I need is either to store it, make it untraceable or destroy it.

Seems to me a good waste of a brand new P228 but hey it's either me or torching $800 away.
>>
>>29399551
It really depends on how high profile your crime is. If it's heinous enough to get feds involved, you can bet your ass everything I stated is going to come into play (who do you think I work for?) If it's local law enforcement, they don't always have access to the type of technology and databases to take it down to such minute details.

In the end a lot of minutia is not admissible in court or is overlooked, as our justice system requires proof beyond reasonable doubt. You can PROVE something with such small details, but the investigators sure as shit are going to know for sure it was you, and you're going to be charged and have to pay a shit ton in legal fees if you expect to get off and live with that on your record forever, like OJ.

Buy a laptop online, wear a hat and grow your facial hair out (if time is of the essence wear a good fake), go to a local Starbucks (or anywhere with free wifi, also never let this computer connect to your home wifi network, remove the battery before even approaching your network), find a deal on armslist or similar sites, meet up and buy the gun (hope he doesn't care for ID), use it, have everything you need on hand to destroy it, ditch it, clean yourself.

Half of these steps aren't necessary unless you're pulling off a political assassination and expecting to get away with it. The government practically doesn't care for small time stuff unless it's really heinous or repeat offenses.
>>
>>29399103
After use, melt with thermite. Buy polymer for easier time

I'm not able to be tracked right now so I can speak freely, but if you share that image it can be backtraced back to this site and thread if there's a post # and then a detailed investigation may follow.

And by buy a laptop online I mean off a private seller. Buying one from an online retailer is full retard, never do this even if you have the slightest suspicion you're being watched. Feds and shadows intercept packages en route and install monitoring software. This was released to the public through that one site that rhymes with "hicky-peaks" so you know I ain't bullshittin.
>>
>>29399594
>It really depends on how high profile your crime is. If it's heinous enough to get feds involved, you can bet your ass everything I stated is going to come into play
Of course, I thought that was implied. Everything you stated would come in to play anyway just to be safe.

> the investigators sure as shit are going to know for sure it was you
I know how that goes and actually have an example from my hometown
>3 guys go into woods
>2 guys leave
>weeks go by and the body is finally discovered
>dude got stabbed over 100 times
>no clue where knife is
>no proof the two retards did it, but c'mon
>can't prove beyond reasonable doubt that they did it because they couldn't determine exactly when he was killed
>one guy ends up caving and admitting they did it to take a plea bargain

Life lessons-
Don't kill someone
If you do, don't do it with anybody else
If you do, kill them too so they can't rat

It was sloppy as fuck, but thanks to the weather washing away evidence at the site, no real motive, and no murder weapon, they were pretty close to getting off
>>
>>29399103
Don't use it in a crime. They can't trace it to anything it hasn't been used in. Duh.
