There decent, prefer their .44 specials. If it's a home defense or glovebox gun it will get the job done, especially if you put some HP or +P in it.

Tactically no, there is not.
People talk about auto loaders getting caught on clothing, but I'm yet to really see any evidence of that being a problem.
That being said, I love revolvers.

You made a good choice. Current production Charter Arms revolvers are decent, no-nonsense revolvers. They'll look a little rough, but they'll work.
A Tokarev, unless you're talking about one of the new Zastava redesigns, is mostly a historical novelty, a gun for fun and collectors. I wouldn't be able to trust my life to mine.
Your .38 should do its job just fine.
Be wary of light primer strikes with lightweight rounds. 158gr loads should be fine since they usually have a softer primer
