Lets just grind all the awful old welds, bust out my tig, and redo the whole thing. Honestly the c308 is incredibly shitty and if you're not an hk builder then it's easier to just buy a good quality ptr.

You don't fix shitty products by just taking them apart and putting them back together. Just get a PTR instead of buying something worse and then spending the difference any way having to replace parts.

PTR makes the receiver, trigger housing, and the barrel.
All the internal stuff (BCG, trigger group, charging, etc) are all from the same surplus parts pool that Century has bought the remaining stock of which means that there is a finite number of C308 rifles to go around.
I have read, but cannot confirm, that when C308 customers send their rifles back because of defects, the rifles get repaired by PTR not Century.
