I posted a few days ago about my glock not going fully into battery, an anon commented that the spring behind the extractor was in backwards and I turned it around and it worked fine for a couple of mags, but now its hanging up every few rounds again. The only thing I can think of is some kind of water damage because it was on me going through all kinds of flood water down here, or maybe the barrels just messed up, but I can't see any burrs or any uneven wear
>>29348301
Sell it and buy a gun that isn't trash
>>29348308
ok will do
what did you do to it?
besides put back together wrong
>>29348308
Really still posting here?
Go eat some bacon
you use grease for lube? I did that once and my 19 would stop just short of going into battery sometimes.
>>29348301
change out your spring. if that doesn't work, throw it away and buy a new gun.
>>29348301
This is sounding like a troll thread now. I remember the thread the other day...
>>29348680
I mean I walked through a bunch of flood water while it was on me but there's no rust anywhere that I can see.
>>29348709
Nope, I use hoppes
>>29348743
I tried a different recoil spring. I'm thinking I'll just buy a new glock and change out parts till I can get the old one working and sell it. This ones seen 3k+ rounds anyways
>>29348888
I wish it was but the bitch still don't work
>>29350099
did you replace the plunger spring?
>>29350099
3k rounds is nothing
>>29350115
Yup, I did that today. Still not working
>>29350116
Thanks for your helpful comment
>>29350503
It's fucking backwards you stupid shitty nigger. Plastic on plastic metal on metal.
>>29350563
Also I bet that fucking light is torqued the fuck on which is probably stopping the frame from flexing and the slide from going into battery.
>>29348301
Bet you're limp wristing
>>29350563
is right, the plunger and spring is in backwards in OP's picture. the spring needs to be against the backplate, not the extractor
Armorer here,
Your extractor plunger assembly is in backwards. I can see the spring. The metal end should be pushing on the extractor and the plastic bushing should be against the cover plate.
That shouldn't be causing your issues though.
Slowly let the slide forward (while empty obviously). If it "hangs up" or doesn't fully go into battery (even just a little), then it is the recoil spring and needs replacing. Otherwise, take it to an armorer. This link may be of some help too.

it was helpful because you said 3k like it was a reason to get a new gun. my gun has eaten over 3k rounds and I haven't even had it more than a couple months and it looks brand new.
3k is not a lot your glock should last 100k+ rounds if you take care of it.

>Welcome to two days ago.
He already made this thread and posted that picture. One anon spotted the reversed extractor spring. OP said in the OP of this thread that he fixed the spring but it's still not going into battery.
>>29350665
>Clear weapon.
>Point straight up.
>Pull trigger.
>Hold trigger to the rear.
>Pull slide all the way back.
>Ride slide home.
>If slide reached a stopping point while ridding home release slide and trigger.
>If slide is not in battery before trigger reset get a new recoil spring.
Still he's probably just a limpwristing faggot
>>29350686
100k is exaggerating but at least 10k before shit needs replacing
>>29350694
Well he did say he turned the spring around... not the whole assembly. Just want to cover the obvious problem first.
Wasn't here two days ago to see the original so calm yourself.
>>29350694
It's not just the spring it's the entire Edp assembly. Unless OP confirms he put the entire assembly in the correct way all of our comments are relevant. Also OP is probably just limpwristing.
Let me guess op, you Glock starts acting up after you've shot 4 or 5 mags right?
>>29350870
>>29350853
He'd have to be fucking retarded to take apart the extractor spring rod, turn the spring around, then reinstall it backwards again.
I'm pretty sure he said it does it when cycling the magazine. Limp wristing wouldn't have anything to do with it.
>>29350895
Have you been to 4chan before today? Yet alone the internet? I do try to assume that people know what they are [generally] doing but hey, people fuck up.
Also, based on the picture he posted, it's fucked up. One can assume that the picture is of the most recent condition of the gun.
>>29350805
Yes, try that.
>>29350895
>He'd have to be fucking retarded
Yeah I'm betting on it.
>cycling the magazine
Fucking what? Like racking rounds through a mag by hand? Oh so you know not by shooting the gun and therefore not and issue?
If this is the case then it's a non issue. Of the gun is jamming while firing there's an issue. Stop defending retards.
>>29348301
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT, OP. Your extractor spring is in the wrong place. I can see the goddammed coils against the extractor. The spring rests against the backplate, and the rod rests against the extractor.
>>29351047
>>29351027
I'm with you, thats why I said this was a troll thread the whole time. I was just mentioning that he said he fixed the backwards extractor spring issue.
