I want to leave USA and immigrate to Russia, and join the military.
Thing is I don't speak Russian and don't know where I could get the opportunity to learn the language. Any tips or ideas?

Unlike the US, Russian military service is mandatory. Everyone does 1y of military service sometime between the ages of 18 and 27. That means it's full of people who don't want to be there and probably shouldn't be there. If you think the American military is full of moron yokels then you ain't seen nothing yet.

English is probably one of the easiest languages in the world simply because it got rid of a lot of really tricky nonsense like gendered nouns, complicated verb tenses, and noun declination.
Russian nouns are gendered, i.e. the word "chair" may be feminine or masculine or neuter and there is usually no clear way of identifying which it is, and you have to change the verbs in the sentence according to the gender of the nouns. Also, if you are an English-speaker it will be much harder for you to learn a completely unrelated language rather than one which has closer ancestry to English, i.e. the Germanic or Latin tongues.
That said there are plenty of places where you can learn Russian. Any of the major cities in the US should have language centres with native speakers ready to teach just about any language, and there are plenty of commercial products.

Had several friends who were in the army. Gay jokes got zero reaction from one of them, he was like "what the fuck are you rambling about". BUT if some of people around you are gay that can happen I suppose, but it's not really an issue with army itself. That's not the problem, the problem is the seniority system based on Japan-tier bullying where people who served longer basically do 0% of work except when an officer directly orders them. Males in Russia generally try to avoid conscription like plague. Of course all 3 of my friends are idiots who went because "lol why not, it's not like I have something else to do" (they were also huge nerds) and they said it was relatively fun. I actually wanted to go to for the same reasons, but wasn't accepted due to health problems. Still, the regular army is basically meme army, or at least it was as long as I remember (stopped paying attention to the stuff outside anime/videogames around 2010).
